Peace?

“Because, indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying, Peace! when there is no peace; and one builds a wall, and plasters it with whitewash.” Ezekiel 13:10
While this verse is discussing Israel, the similarities with what is going on with the North Korean situation seems interesting. Is peace coming or is this peace that we assume is there in all reality a rouse of things to come?
“And also through his cunning he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand. And he will magnify himself in his heart, and through prosperity shall destroy many.” Daniel 8:25a VW-Edition
“And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many:” Daniel 8:25a KJV
While this verse is regarding the Antichrist, take a note how through peace he destroys many. How can destruction come through peace or prosperity? I had never taken much into those verses, regarding the schematics of how such a thing could occur, but perhaps some insight into the current North Korean situation might show how supposed peace might destroy many.
North Korea is a major threat to not only the United States, but especially to South Korea and Japan. They have also threatened the UK, as well as Australia and perhaps others??? When President Donald Trump crossed over the DMZ and shook hands with Kim Yong-un, this was certainly history in the making. When there was the first peace summit, the nominations should have been coming in for the Nobel Peace prize, for indeed achievements towards peace seemed to have been made in what was a situation where there seemed to be absolutely no hope for peace. There has been articles written on this situation, as well as previous updates, but the time seems right for at least one additional update.
It has been quite some time since the North Korean topic has been written about, there seemed to be just a few things that were apparently going on, essentially North Korea was updating some of their weapons manufacturing facilities and launch areas. For a long time there were no projectiles being shot into the sea, no more nuclear tests and to this date, there is no evidence I am aware of that North Korea has tested another underground nuclear weapon since President Trump’s standoff.
President Trump provides some evidence of how that Antichrist -could- behave. This is not to say that President Trump is the Antichrist, as no Believer would know, as the Antichrist is unveiled AFTER the Rapture.
“And now you know what is restraining, that he may be unveiled in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He is now restraining, until it is raised from out of the midst. And then the lawless one will be unveiled, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2nd Thessalonians 2:6-12
Since the failed second peace summit, North Korea has shown the world that they are greatly advancing in nuclear weaponry, launch schematics, as well as newer technology. Over the past few months North Korea has been launching missiles, testing out both new and existing technology. Consider that there was an armada outside of the waters of North Korea just a couple of years ago, with the threat of fire and fury that the world has never seen before and now what?
Now there is no major response from our government, just simply brushing off these new tests, that would have supposedly brought an instant response from our military. If the North Korean threat can not be solved, then why have pushed for a resolve? If military might will ultimately be the answer, then why allow the enemy to prepare and become a bigger threat to both that region, as well as the United States?
North Korea has proven that they are now able to launch submarine launched ballistic missiles (SLBM’s). Also their mobile launchers have had a between missile launch time from 19 minutes to only thirty seconds in a matter of months! Is it possible that one of our enemies are helping them continue to get more advanced technology?
The other day I went through a search process online to try and dig up the latest in the news about weapons advancements from North Korea, as well as their recent tests. I ended up having to go to DuckDuckGo to get the most accurate search results, as others were failing me.
What I was surprised to find was the fact that the official analysts on the North Korean governments ability was actually taken back a few notches from what they proclaimed they were capable of a year or so ago. Instead of realizing that they could at least strike Chicago or possibly the entire United States, the argument reverted back to simply that they -might- be able to strike the United States!
The North’s technology has become more advanced since a year ago, with SLBM’s they certainly could, if undetected, attack the entire continental United States. No one wants to mention EMP’s, satellite based nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons or simply warheads that are capable of reaching anywhere in this country. Why?
Rather why, after these threats from a country THAT IS STILL THREATENING US, have not both democrats and republicans began the process of protecting our country from an EMP attack. Whether that attack could eventually come from North Korea, Russia, China or a rogue terrorist group, this is an extremely vulnerable point of the United States and my understanding is that for $400 billion dollars, this could be prevented.
While $400 billion dollars is an astronomical dollar amount, it wasn’t too long ago that an idea of a $1.5 trillion dollar infrastructure bill was floating around. I don’t know the future in regards to the ultimate outcome of North Korea any more than any other average person, but what I do know is that there is this talk of peace and there is no peace. The supposed peace could one day turn into the destruction of many nations and the deaths of millions around the globe.
If North Korea was to be stopped, they should have been stopped a long time ago. Unless the United States has some top secret weapons that would be used against them, perhaps the only peace left is to simply lift the embargos and sanctions and declare them a nuclear power? At least that is not calling a situation that is warlike peace.
Beware, this world is full of deception, lies and there are things we are simply just not going to understand. Eventually the time will come when the world will enter the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7) and the only certainty that we have now, will be the only certainty that people will have then, that is the Word of God, a good translation like the King James Version.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies.” Ephesians 6:12
Amen!
