“And I will give to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. And if anyone tries to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone tries to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have authority to shut the heavens, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. And when they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three and a half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. And after three and a half days the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet, and great terror fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice out of Heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they ascended towards Heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. And in the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of Heaven. The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.” Revelation 11:3-14

As my best friend and the other guy who helps out with this ministry from time to time has often said, “Technology will do one of two things, it will either free you or enslave you.” Well I would say the Bible has the answer to what technology will ultimately do and that is enslave you (Revelation 13:16-18; 20:4).
For some reason I have really been pondering technology for the past year straight. When I was young the internet was just coming out publicly. I was probably one of the first people to have a Yahoo! email account. I remember telnet, I was great using a Mac, as well as a PC. I absolutely loved Windows 3.1, how advanced! J
When I was a senior in high school, pictures via the internet locally first came out, I was hooked with the technology and the wealth of information at my fingertips. There were many good uses to the technology and I met some really great people, some who greatly helped me out, including with what really matters, learning about the Bible, understanding God more, being prepared to teach others.
With that technology also came many dangers, of which they have gotten worse, even if unrecognized. Originally, I was not aware of any Google and I don’t believe there was one, nor was DuckDuckgo around (an alternative to Google). There were tons of search engines coming online all of the time. Then several years ago there was talk of this utopia, this internet of things, where everything will be connected.
Now there is 5G and in other places 6G networks that are making this a reality. In fact I was just in the Black Hills, a portion of the forest that is in the middle of nowhere and to my surprise there was fiber optic cable be laid on this one lane dirt road. I recall years ago in rural Montana, over by Choteau, where they were laying fiber optic cable. This area was so rural that there is a nuclear silo nearby.
There was dreams that were being told to us about how technological advanced our homes could be. Auto lights, refrigerators that would order your food, automatic blinds, you name it. A lot of this stuff is a reality for many Americans and those around the world, in fact much more than was even originally presented. Convenient things, like being able to order products through Amazon by simply speaking aloud in your home and placing an order or being able to ask Siri a question that will be answered.
Though as the apostasy got worse and worse, year by year, I recalled this book (which I need to reread) that talked about the age of Aquarius. Now by no means do I practice any sort of astrology or read such things in the newspaper or online or anywhere. What this book is about is how the new age movement was trying to take over by the end of 2012, aligning with what they believed to be entering the last age on December 21st, 2012, the ‘end’ of the Mayan calendar, back when there was quite a lot of chatter about such things. The book is called The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow; The New Age Movement and Our coming Age of Barbarism by Constance Cumbey, once a #1 best seller in the 1980’s.
I probably read the book back in 2005 or 2006 and honestly had mostly forgotten about it. Then as our society continued to get more and more bizarre, such a seemingly normal people accepting multiple genders or supporting such unscientific (as well as unbiblical (Genesis 5:2)) nonsense; nonetheless to say nothing about the average response/belief regarding Covid and how nearly all of the original premises and ‘facts’ told about that can readily be proven to have been false, but yet society seems to have forgotten those things or now believe the lies that they were told. (I think of Newsom and Whitmer (California & Michigan’s governors) who both got reelected.)
Much could be said on that and maybe I should, but nevertheless it serves as a harsh wakeup call to just how ready the entire world is for the ‘emergency’ of the Rapture and to be put into the world governmental system, underneath the authority of the Antichrist. If you consider Covid as a test run, they did remarkably well. If that were a military drill and I was the general leading it, after it was done, I would say, well done comrades, you pulled it off.
As the world becomes more and more engaged in accepting and embracing technology, sometimes simply out of obligation, a sense of normalcy (there can be a disconnect with not having social media), as well as force by legislation, corporate Babylon companies, workplaces, education, government, etc., the opportunity to disconnect is quickly disappearing.
However, if we simply take a look at the opening verses about the Two Witnesses having been killed by the beast, please note that the whole world sees their dead bodies, which are laying in a street in Jerusalem. A bit further you can see that there seems to be some sort of consensus regarding not allowing their bodies to be put into graves, for they are certainly hated.
Now all of this happens in the course of 3 and ½ days. Afterwards God gives them the spirit of life and they are called from Heaven to come up there. The world also sees that as well.
How recently could something like this have occurred and what technology would have been needed? Certainly a war breaking out or a news article about the moon landing would have been seen by many people quite quickly, but what about that consensus and what about people far off. Easy for us to believe living in the United States, but I am always interested in life in far away countries and will tell you that this same technology is making LEAPS AND BOUNDS at a breakneck speed in some of the most remote places on this planet. There is no stopping it, there is no going back, there is no disconnect for the world at large and the Bible shows that these sorts of technologies, these computers in the palms of our hands, certainly qualify to allow the realness of this prophecy to be seen, knowing that when it was written there was no way that the whole world would see, nor even understand what would be taking place with the Two Witnesses warning the world, as well as causing plaques to come upon the inhabitants of the earth. Consider that the Gospel had not been preached around the globe yet, that in and of itself would negate the logicalness of the Two Witnesses at a time prior before the world was turned ‘upside down’ (Acts 17:6).
If you consider the dialoguing power of X (formerly Twitter) than one could see how the whole world could ‘chime’ in on the fate of the bodies of the Two Witnesses, though this fulfills yet another prophecy that God has declared to mankind. I wonder, will anyone realize during that time, except maybe those who have inherited Salvation (Hebrews 1:14), that this shouldn’t be a debate that they are going to come back from the dead and go straight to Heaven. The vanity of man and their arguments against God and the things of God, yet God’s Word will certainly stand.
