As He Says

“For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse…” Romans 1:20
The other day in a mailing I received the author had CLEARLY PERCEIVED emphasized and how true that is. As I watched a robin out in the yard this morning gathering up pieces of dead grass to make a nest, common sense suggests that there is a Creator.
How did the robin learn to make a nest, did she go to school? Did her parents hold class to show her how to do so? Silly you say, well it also is silly to assume that evolution preprogrammed this nest making process.
Prior to going outside I had seen an article making national news headlines that North Carolina was suing the federal government over its attempt to force them to have bathrooms for so-called transgenders. North Carolina was filing suit on the premise that the federal government doesn’t have mandate over such actions and that their law (which requires you to use the bathroom that matches the sex listed on your birth certificate) doesn’t discriminate against anyone, simply the same rules apply for everyone.
I’m not sure what has caused North Carolina to take a stand, but they are. In the article I saw there was a picture of what appeared to be protestors trying to assert their ‘rights’ to be perverse in the public. Looking at the photo of people dressed in drag and what I can only call circus outfits, I noted the stares of hatred toward whomever they were protesting against. The though quickly came to mind about Jeremiah and what God told him.
“Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says Jehovah.” Jeremiah 1:8
Ezekiel was also told:
“And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 2:6
What God says is what He says, He does not change, nor do His Words.
“For I, Jehovah, change not.” Malachi 3:6a
“The grass withers, the flower fades; but the Word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8
“Forever, O Jehovah, Your Word stands firm in the heavens.” Psalms 119:89b
“but the Word of the Lord endures forever.” 1st Peter 1:25a
The more I consider these things, the more I begin to understand the basis for how come things seem to be getting so bad in the world. What man needs is truth, absolute truth. Things have to be measured against truth to see whether they are true or not. If I purchase a ruler and assuming it was manufactured correctly I would be able to correctly measure something. In a jam, I might use a finger to measure up inches, but that is not a true measurement, where it would matter I would need a true measurement.
Does not your soul matter? Does not ensuring you are Saved make a difference to you? In today’s evil and fallen world things need to be lined up with Truth. The only way we can measure things correctly is by weighing them against the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures. Then when pitted against God’s Word we are able to see what the truth of any matter might be, whether or not it is a new movement going across the United States, or even an older accepted religion or belief system. And finally even the churches that many attend across the land. God has already told us all we need to know, it is as He says and will always be.
“Your Word is truth since the beginning, and every one of Your righteous judgments is everlasting.” Psalms 119:60
“Sanctify them in Your Truth. Your Word is Truth.” John 17:17
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things are so.” Acts 17:11
So when it comes down to it, a response from a Believer is simply that this is what God says and that is all to the matter. It is not our opinion, but it is a fact, a fact discerned from the Truth, God’s Word.
