“For the Word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature that is not revealed in His presence, but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must give answer.” Hebrews 4:12-13
In the midst of my young son and I playing with my homemade Lego ‘Chicago’, one of the bad guys has a cannon is about ready to shoot cannon Lego balls towards his version of Lego ‘Chicago’. As the bad guys lets out a hardy laugh, suddenly the Lego cat comes over to try and talk sense into them from annihilating cat’s Lego ‘Chicago’.
Cat says, “Don’t you know that God sees you?”
“Really, but I will hide underneath this building!”, proclaims the green bad guy.
Cat responds, “God still sees you and if you don’t stop choosing evil and choose the good, you are going to go to Hell.”
Adding, “Don’t you want to go to Heaven? You need to talk to Lego Dad about what you are doing.”
The Lego bad guys consider whether or not to choose the good or the bad as they hear reasoning from Lego Dada about why they need to be Saved. In the end all is well, they choose the good and become the factory guys, producing various sorts of Lego goods.
The simplicity in a young child’s heart is amazing. Yet really how simple is it for the world. Is not the answer the same? Perhaps we use a bit of a different wording, but Salvation is still the same, through repentance and believing into Jesus Christ. For those of you who scoff, do you not realize that God sees you? For those of you who choose sin, who choose the bad, don’t you realize that God also sees you?
Where will you go to hide from your Maker? What evil can you do that the Judge will not render judgment to you in the day you stand before Him? Can you pretend that He doesn’t exist and try to ignore all thoughts or reasonings that enter your mind otherwise? Even if you do not believe or do not want to believe, God still sees you!
