Make America Great Again?

Troubled times appear in print, online and on television to viewers nationwide through many media outlets.  Not only is the country beginning to be in an uproar about the current presidential candidates, but the outcry is a culmination of many decades of political strife in this country.  Ofttimes the root of the problem is that America has not molded to the needs of this ideology or that of different liberal viewpoints.  What makes a country great and was America ever great?

When people think of greatness the thought that comes to mind is that there is easy money to be made, or for others free handouts from the government, either way the basis is often money.  While there are certainly liberal social agendas that get pushed across this country by the extreme fringes of society, if one were to surmise that the country could be made great again, that would be assuming that at one point the country was great.  After all can something be made great again if it was not great at one point in time?

After World War 2 this country saw an outpouring of economic growth that was unprecedented in modern societies.  The manufacturing of the United States was to be desired by countries around the world.  The hardworking people of the United States were an envy to others who could not find their opportunity in their home country.  People flocked to the United States as immigrants from every corner of the earth.  Suburban communities popped up all over across the United States and the American Dream, as it is called, became the staple for prosperity across the globe.

A three legged stool philosophy became a backbone of American society.  With a home, a car, a family, money for modern things such as washing machines, refrigerators, garages, central heating systems and a cement pad to park a car on, the American Dream was realized.  The three legged stool meant that one had a personal savings, a pension and Social Security benefits that would allow a thriving retirement after the work years were over. That level of supposed security would allow a family to pay for a ‘happy’ life, even to the cost of an expensive funeral as their body is lowered into the ground.  If we were to take a peak at the history of Israel, as given to us by the Holy Scriptures, we would quickly find that we were not the first society to ever have such prosperity.

“The weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold, besides that from the traveling merchants, from the income of traders, from all the kings of Arabia, and from the governors of the land.  And King Solomon made two hundred shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels of gold went into each shield.  He also made three hundred shields of hammered gold; three minas of gold went into each shield.  The king put them in the house of the Forest of Lebanon.  Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.  The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round at the back; there were armrests on either side of the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the armrests.  Twelve lions were standing there, one on each side of the six steps; nothing like this had been made for any other kingdom.  All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were gold, and all the vessels of the house of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold.  Not one was silver, for this was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.  For the king had a fleet of ships at sea from Tarshish along with the fleet of Hiram; and once every three years the ships from Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.  Thus King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.  And all the earth was seeking the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his heart.  Each man was bringing his present: articles of silver and gold, garments, armor, spices, horses, and mules, at a set rate year by year.  And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.  The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedar trees as abundant as the sycamores which are in the lowland.”  1st Kings 10:14-27

“And Judah and Israel dwelt securely, every man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.”  1st Kings 4:25

King Solomon was established by God before his father King David had died.  King David had taken and secured the land from war, defeating Israel’s enemies through God Almighty.  Now with his son ruling over Israel there was peace and prosperity.  Solomon had declared:

“Then Solomon spoke: Jehovah has said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.  I have built to establish for You an exalted house, a fixed place for You to abide continually.  And the king turned his face around and blessed the whole assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.  And he said: Blessed is Jehovah the God of Israel, who has spoke with His mouth to my father David, and with His hand has fulfilled it, saying, Since the day that I brought My people Israel out of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house, for My name to be there; but I chose David to be over My people Israel.  Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a house for the name of Jehovah the God of Israel.  But Jehovah said to my father David, Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.  Nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who shall come from your body, he shall build the house for My name.  Thus Jehovah has fulfilled His word which He has spoken; and I have risen up in place of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah has promised; and I have built a house for the name of Jehovah the God of Israel.  And there I have fixed a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of Jehovah which He had made with our fathers, when He brought them out from the land of Egypt.  Then Solomon stood before the altar of Jehovah in front of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward the heavens; and he said: Jehovah the God of Israel, there is no god in the heavens above or on the earth below like You, who keeps Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.  You have kept what You have promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day.  Therefore, Jehovah the God of Israel, now keep what You have promised Your servant David my father, saying, You shall not fail to have a man sitting before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, to walk before Me as you have walked before Me.  And now I pray, O God of Israel, let Your word be confirmed, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.  But will God truly dwell on the earth?  Behold, the heavens and the Heaven of heavens cannot contain You.  How much less this house which I have built!  Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Jehovah my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today: that Your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which You have said, My name shall be there, that You may hear the prayer which Your servant prays toward this place.  And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place.  Hear in Heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.  When anyone sins against his neighbor, and is required to take an oath, and has come to swear an oath before Your altar in this house, then hear in Heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, to condemn the wicked, to bring his way upon his head, and to justify the righteous, giving him according to his righteousness.  When Your people Israel are struck down before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and when they turn back to You and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in this house, then hear in Heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You have given to their fathers.  When the heavens are restrained and there is no rain because they have sinned against You; when they have prayed toward this place and confessed Your name, and turned from their sin because  You afflicted them, then hear in Heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain upon Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.  When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land in their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this house: then hear in Heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone have known the hearts of all the sons of men), that they may fear You all the days that they are alive on the face of the land which You have given to our fathers.  Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a distant land on account of Your name (for they will hear of Your great name and Your strong hand and Your outstretched arm), when he has come and prayed toward this house, hear in Heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls upon You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name to fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name.  When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You send them, and when they pray to Jehovah toward the city which You have chosen and the house which I have built for Your name, then hear in Heaven their prayer and their supplication, and attend to their cause.  When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin), and You have become angry with them and delivered them to the enemy, and they have taken them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near; yet when they have returned in their minds in the land where they have been carried captive, and have repented in their hearts, and made supplication to You in the land of those holding them captive, saying, We have sinned and done perversely, we have committed wickedness; and when they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have prayed to You toward their land which You have given to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the house which I have built for Your name: then hear in Heaven Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and attend to their cause, and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You; and grant them compassion before those who took them captive, that they may have compassion on them (for they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You have brought out of Egypt, out of the midst of the iron furnace), that Your eyes may be open to the supplication of Your servant and the supplication of Your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they call unto You.  For as You have spoken by the hand of Your servant Moses, You have separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to be Your inheritance, when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord Jehovah.”  1st Kings 8:12-53

At what point has the United States of America declared itself to be a Christian country serving the Most High?  At no point has the United States of America been a Christian country, the roots of this country go back to freemasonry and the illumanti, not to establishing itself upon the precepts of God’s Word.  Many are confused at this and proclaim otherwise, citing numerous writing by the founding fathers of this country.  Though George Washington talks about the “Providence” of God guiding the beginnings of this country, he was also the Grand Master of Masons.  It is not possible to serve God and a demonic, idolatrous religion.

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.”  1st Corinthians 10:21

As was the problem with king Solomon.  His heart was right before God, but eventually things changed and the prosperity, security and peace of Israel began to be threatened.

“But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites; from the nations of whom Jehovah had said to the children of Israel, You shall not go in to them, nor they to you.  Truly they will thrust aside your hearts after their gods.  These, Solomon clung to in love.  And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives thrust away his heart.  For so it was, when Solomon was old, that his wives thrust his heart aside after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with Jehovah his God, as was the heart of his father David.  For Solomon departed after Ashtaroth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. Solomon did evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and did not fully follow after Jehovah, like his father David.  And Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.  And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.  And Jehovah was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned aside from Jehovah the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice, and had charged him concerning this thing, that he should not depart after other gods; but he had not kept what Jehovah had charged.  Therefore Jehovah said to Solomon, Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have charged you, I will rend to tear the kingdom away from you, and have given it to your servant.  Nevertheless I will not do it in your days, for the sake of your father David; I shall tear it out of the hand of your son. However I will not tear away the whole kingdom; I shall give one tribe to your son for the sake of my servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.  And Jehovah raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was of the seed of the king in Edom.  For it happened, when David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army had gone up to bury the slain, after he had killed every male in Edom (because for six months Joab remained there with all Israel, until he had cut down every male in Edom), that Hadad fled to go to Egypt, he and certain Edomites of his father’s servants with him.  Hadad was still a little child.”  1st Kings 11:1-17

Quite some time passed and eventually Israel became totally subdued by its enemies, God had exacted justice on a people whose hearts had gone far away from Him.  A people who were determined to do evil, not only forsaking God’s Law, but also fully engaging in idolatry.

“Thus it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his forces came against Jerusalem and encamped against it; and they built a siege wall against it all around.  And the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.  By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.  And the city was broken into, and all the men of war fled at night by way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden, even though the Chaldeans were encamped all around against the city.  And the king went the way toward the plain.  And the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.  So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they pronounced judgment upon him.  And they killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, put out the eyes of Zedekiah, bound him with bronze fetters, and brought him to Babylon.  And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month (which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.  He burned the house of Jehovah and the king’s house; all the houses of Jerusalem, that is, all the houses of distinction, he burned with fire.  And all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down the walls of Jerusalem all around.”  2nd Kings 25:1-10

As Israel was warned:

“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of Jehovah your God which I am commanding you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of Jehovah your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.”  Deuteronomy 11:26-28

Furthermore…

“Because you did not serve Jehovah your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things, therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom Jehovah will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron upon your neck until He has destroyed you.  Jehovah will bring a nation against you from afar, from the ends of the earth, as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, a nation of fierce countenance, which does not regard the face of the old nor show favor to the young.  And they shall eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the offspring of your cattle or the increase of your flocks, until they have destroyed you.  They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which Jehovah your God has given to you.  You shall eat the fruit of your own womb, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom Jehovah your God has given to you, in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemies shall distress you.”  Deuteronomy 28:47-53

Could not Make America Great Again be conceived as Make America Rich Again?  Is that not what American’s are really desiring, whether through handouts or opportunities?  Can a country ever be great, truly great, that does not recognize their Creator and follow His precepts?  Is such a thing even possible?  Yet man does not look to His Maker to solve the woes of society, to begin to alleviate the consequences of sin.  After all with riches also comes problems.

“No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other.  It is not possible to serve God and mammon.”  Matthew 6:24

“Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing; and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked; I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.  Therefore be zealous and repent.”  Revelation 3:17-19

Where is this country and where are we heading?

Though we have only 5% of the world’s population, we have 25% of the amount of prisoners in the world.  The United States has the highest incarceration rate out of every country.  The National Debt of the United States is a whopping 19,000,000,000,000.  If you were to take into account all of the payments that America is obligated to pay that amount becomes staggering.  The National Debt in 1950 was $257 billion dollars, a feasible amount to pay off.  America was once the biggest creditor nation, now it is the biggest debtor nation.  Yet underlying is a truth that few like to point out, that truth is that America is also some of the most morally bankrupt citizens on the face of the earth.

Our music, movies and culture is broadcast across the globe.  The demoralizing themes portrayed through such things simply causes an even more idolatrous society.  Our scientist spend much time trying to counter God with assaults against His Holy Word.  Not only do they pretend that God did not create the heavens and the earth, but they try to explain away the consequences of sin in our society as mental illness, pushing the blame on supposed deficiencies, rather that squarely on the sins of mankind.  Through such thought patterns there are so many numerous programs in every city of America, designed to combat man’s rebellion against God and the consequences that come with it.

“But evil men and pretenders will grow worse and worse, leading astray and being led astray.”  2nd Timothy 3:13

America will never be rich again.  Prosperity is not around the corner, God’s judgments upon this country are not going to go away and eventually the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7) will come upon the world and it will be justifiable.  What America needs to do, if there was any hope, any virtue, any chance on an individual level, is to repent to God Almighty.  As an individual all you can do is understand that ALL have sinned, you need to come before God in repentance and need to accept the free gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the Law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through the faith of Jesus Christ, to all and upon all who believe.  For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, to give evidence of His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to prove at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who is of the faith of Jesus.”  Romans 3:21-26

“From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.”  Matthew 4:17

“For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he might not spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost.  So, from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church. And when they had come to him, he said to them: You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I lived among you all the time, serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews; how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying both to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Acts 20:16-21

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

“For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no one should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9

“Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6

Do not be led astray that good times are around the corner, that man is going to fix this mess that he has created.

“Do not be led astray, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”  Galatians 6:7

What you need to do is realize that God’s judgment is around the corner and that you need to seek Him while you can find Him.

“Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.”  Isaiah 55:6

“For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.  Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”  2nd Corinthians 6:2

The time has come to quit looking at a perfect country as something to achieve and try to realize that God already has a perfect place in store for those who follow Him.  This life is very short and our focus should be on storing up riches in Heaven, not gathering riches on earth.  As a country we are morally bankrupt and no amount of money, ideologies, laws, opportunities or handouts is going to fix that.

“Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your calamities that are coming upon you.  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.  Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire.  You have heaped up treasure in the last days.  Indeed the wages of the laborers who reaped your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.  You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.  You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.  Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord.  See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.  You also be patient.  Make your hearts firm, for the coming of the Lord draws near.  Do not grumble against one another, brethren, that you not be condemned.  Behold, the Judge stands at the door.”  Jacob 5:1-9
