“When I am afraid I trust in You. In God (I praise His Word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me.” Psalms 56:3-4
“The steps of a good man are ordered by Jehovah, and he delights in His way.” Psalms 37:23
…“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105:b
“Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
“Therefore I say to you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Observe the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by being anxious is able to add one cubit to his stature? So why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:25-34
We live in a world with much uncertainty. Having read a lot of history, I now and many people now, who have not experienced such turmoil events that the world has had thrown its’ way, have an understanding of uncertain times, such as those like World War 2.
Imagine living in Nazi Germany, watching your country turn into a totalitarian regime, declaring war, as bombs are falling from the sky at random during the night. How about being a farmer as the Bolshevik revolution is overtaking Russia? There were those who lived in Mao’s China (or even now Xi’s) and saw the effects of such leadership, even in modern days we can watch as our own country, the United States, turn the leaf into a new adventure, far from the past ways.
Well now we all live in a post-Covid world, a world that has changed, a world that is changing and many are now becoming pitted against one another. While a good understanding of Romans 14 should provide the basis for brethren to treat other brethren with respect, irregardless of whether they chose to be vaccinated, speak for or against the restrictions, believe all or none of what they are told about Covid or have different political opinions, that –should- not interfere with the brotherly love that is to be found amongst Believers (Ro. 12:10), yet it is.
Shall Churches be torn apart from such strife?
“Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all transgressions.” Proverbs 10:12
However, in general, there is a large problem going on in the world. Our freedoms are being taken away, our liberty to have our own choice about our bodies is threatened. So what happens if we have had enough, what happens if we refuse to comply and our conscience before our Creator, for those who are truly Saved, those who have repented towards God and by faith believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, helps motivate us to be of the mind to resist these mandates?
It is hard not to fret, there is much evil happening in the world, changes, evil changes, things that ought not to be.
“Do not fret yourself over evil doers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass; and wither as the green herb. Trust in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness.” Psalms 37:1-3
Unfortunately many people are going to be forced to make choices, decisions, of which they did not foresee themselves having to make. Will one keep their job or get the vaccine? Will one continue to live in a city or a state that has mandates that seem excessive? At what point will the line be drawn? So many questions…
Will there be a Covid vaccine passport across much or all of the nation, to go about business as normal?
If the OSHA mandate is successful with the courts, will there be eventually be no option to test out or will it be expanded to all or most every employer?
Will schools force students nationwide to accept the vaccine, as part of a routine in order to attend?
Will the unvaccinated be able to attend Church?
What will happen with air and train travel, bus and car? There is talk about banning interstate travel.
Where is a good place to go? If you go there, will not the same measures follow afterwards?
On another point, I point the finger squarely at the media and outspoken scientific spokespeople who are ostracizing those who are unvaccinated. Recently I ran across an article with a headline of how 1 in 8 people will not purchase gifts for someone, due to disagreements about Covid! Certainly the flames of hate in this matter are being stirred up and this goes both ways. Recently there was a killing of someone who was related to a pharmacist, due to the person’s belief that the pharmacist had killed his family member as part of a Covid conspiracy!
There are people who will fight, push, shove, yell, etc., to those who do not wear masks. There are those people who will pull out a gun and kill for someone trying to make them wear a mask. All over the world chaos is ensuing, common sense is out the window and a sampling of what life will be like for those who are not Saved during the Tribulation, a sampling of some of the measures that the mark of the beast will cause (Rev. 13:16-18) is at hand. Certainly some good material can be got for the preacher who wants to be able to tell God’s Truth and use Covid as an example of how these things could come to pass.
Also there are some who state that the vaccination is the mark of the beast. While it might in the future has some implications to the mark of the beast???, I assure you it is not the mark of the beast and a Believer will not go to Hell for taking the vaccination. The Rapture has not happened yet, as of this writing, and a soul who has repented towards God and by faith believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will still have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Rev. 21:27).
So for the Believer, a true Believer, we must put our trust in God and press forward. I have determined, God willing, that myself and my family will not take the vaccination. In fact the more that it is being forced upon the citizens of this country, the more I have become set on that line in the sand. However, this choice might become the cause of having to make decisions that I otherwise would not if I simply complied. So what do I do? What do we do?
Well for the Believer we can have confidence in the Lord, according to His will. If one decides to up and move, someone who is truly living for the Lord, then with confidence, prayer and direction from the Lord, let that individual or family not be afraid, but simply put their confidence in God Almighty and move along. The same could be said if the last day of a job comes, due to refusing to take the vaccination. For those who know Christ, He has already figured it out, just simply you haven’t.
One must be careful to ensure that they are truly in the faith (2 Cor. 13:5) and also must understand that we can certainly count on God for His promises to Believers that are found throughout the Bible, such as the book of Psalms, but know this also, these promises are contingent on being obedient to God. We can not expect to call ourselves Believers, yet live like the world and assume because God’s Word says so in the Psalms, that we are simply going to press on in faith, though it be in vain.
“The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of Jehovah is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and Jehovah hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Jehovah is near to those of a broken heart, and saves such as are of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked; and those who hate the righteous shall be held guilty. Jehovah redeems the soul of His servants; and none of those who trust in Him shall be held guilty.” Psalms 34:15-22
“Jehovah tries the righteous; but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence. Upon the wicked He will rain snares, fire and brimstone; and a horrible tempest shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous Jehovah loves righteousness; His face beholds the upright.” Psalms 11:5-7
Unfortunately there is a new normal in the world. There is a world that we do not recognize, one where civilized countries like Australia, now lock down their people and beat the dissenters over a couple of Covid cases. There is a world where Canada will arrest pastors and prevent air plus train travel to the unvaccinated. There is a world where two classes of citizens are being created and Big Brother’s hand is heavy upon the populace.
There is a world where prices are rising, shortages and empty shelves are common and violence is waxing worse and worse (2 Tim. 3:13). There is a world where the satanic world government system is flexing it’s muscle and quickly becoming authoritarian. We live in that world.
As you will soon be able to read about on the website (www.allwillstand.org) or read in a new book called The End, this world is quickly approaching a time of great trouble that will happen after the Rapture (1 Thes. 4:14-18). Yet there is a world where there is a God who sent His Son to die on the Cross for the sins of you, should you chose to accept the free gift of Salvation. There is a world where the lost are heading straight to Hell upon death. This is a world where the last breath of a man, for any reason, without Christ brings nothing but horror for all eternity (Da. 12:2). There is a world where God is merciful to those who cry out to Him in repentance (Lk. 18:38), a world where He wishes that none would perish but accept the free gift of Salvation. We live in that world.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no one should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Jesus said, “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5
“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has established a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has appointed. He has given assurance of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:30-31
“And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heavens fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God. And books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, out of the things which were written in the books. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one, according to their works. And Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.” Revelation 20:11-15
“The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is longsuffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
“But what does it say? The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the Word of Faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:8-10
“Then Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be immersed in the name of Jesus Christ to the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38
… “testifying both to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 20:21
Try not to fret, try to cease from your anger (Ps. 37:8) for these things must come to pass (Matt. 24:6). We, who are Believers, must put our trust in Him who Created us and push forward. We might not know where we are going, we might not know our end, but let us rest comfortably in knowing that our times and our lives are in the hands of Him who loves us.
“But I trusted in You, O Jehovah; I have said, You are my God. My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.” Psalms 31:14-15
“Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor has stood in the way of sinners, nor has sat in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not wither, and all that he does shall prosper. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.” Psalms 1
