When God’s Grace Saves His people, they become ambassadors for Christ. This verse astonishingly informs us that Christians get a new form of citizenship. We thereby become foreigners of our old state. It is kind of like people who migrate to other countries, where they denounce their former citizenship and become naturalized under a new nationality. We thereby become a citizen of God’s eternal Kingdom.
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:16.
As you can see, dear reader, under natural law, a person who has believed by faith that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World and faithfully repented to God the Father, these individuals inherits a new nationality. This nationality is our new birthright. This nationality is our new citizenship in the eternal King of God’s Heaven.
Our New Birthright? “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3.
When a lost soul of an individual becomes “SAVED by GOD’S GRACE,” they receive a new spiritual birth. This birth is a birth from the heavens and “NOT” of the fallen world under the devil’s control. Thereby the dead man becomes a new spiritual creation by God since this individual has faithfully reconciled Himself to God by accepting Christ as Lord and Savior while repenting for their sins to the Heavenly Father.
What the lost individuals have a hard time grappling with is that when Adam and Eve sinned, they did not “ONLY” receive a punishment of a physical death but also
received a spiritual loss of life. Natural law changed, and since Adam & Eve became bondage to a corrupted world, they had to die physically and spiritually. Thankfully
God’s grace and love is long-suffering to us and desires “NO ONE TO PERISH.”
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9.
However, during the fall of humanity since the fatal blow of sin in the Garden of Eden, the living soul depicted in Genesis 2:7 was now under condemnation (death & judgment) from God.
GOD GIVING MAN A LIVING SOUL
A Living Eternal Soul: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7.
GOD TAKING LIFE AWAY PHYSICALLY & SPIRITUALLY
Physical Life Gone
Spiritual Life Gone
“In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Genesis 3:19.
“So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” Genesis 3:24.
Do you see, dear reader, when we become citizens to Christ as His ambassadors, we die to self (natural state) and are thereby required to take up our cross.
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24.
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians 1:22.
This Kingdom depicted in Colossians 1:22 is the Kingdom of our Heavenly Holy Almighty Righteous Father. When we take up our cross, Jesus Christ delivers us from the power of darkness. Hopefully, you can understand, dear reader, that this is seriously a war that has been getting battled by every generation for over 6,000 + years. The fallen state of humanity and the curse changed the course of natural law.
We are not only ambassadors for Christ, but we also play the role of being a solider for Christ.
“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2 Timothy 2:3-4.
Remember that God has allowed Lucifer to have dominion (rule) over this earth for a limited period. Lucifer and his following demons (devils) will desire at “ALL COST” to
consume the natural man (lost person). They will eagerly strive, even more unyielding, to devour God’s children who leave their natural state and become regenerated by their new spiritual birth (Saved person).
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8.
Therefore, a Christian must be ready for this physical and spiritual war. We must never forget to put on the “WHOLE” armor of God as a “soldier for God.”
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:11-13.
