Mystery Babylon

“And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth prostituted themselves, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her sexual perversities.  So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her sexual perversities.  And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.  And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.  And the angel said to me, Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.  The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.  Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.  There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time.  And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to destruction.  The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.  These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.  These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, elect, and faithful.  Then he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.  And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and consume her with fire.  For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.  And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”  Revelation of Jesus Christ 17

 

This article is going to be written a bit different than other ones have in the past.  There is more information, of interest, to be had in both The End book, as well as The Tribulation Handbook, offering a hypothesis of who is behind this entity that we are going to be looking at here.  Both of those books are available for FREE on the website (www.allwillstand.org).  The purpose this time, is to show how well this entity that the Bible dedicates a decent amount of space to, this entity that sees the direct Judgment from God Almighty, hides in plain site.

 

Let’s examine what the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, says about this entity, that certainly exists right now, and let the reader consider the complete validity and trustworthiness of God’s Word to mankind, pondering who this entity is, where this entity is and understanding that this very entity that is rarely talked about is having it’s effect of society as you read this.  Perhaps we might consider how to stay away from it’s tentacles, that lead men straight to Hell?  (Hint…follow the Bible. J )  So let’s break this down and see what we can garner about this entity from the Bible!

 

“And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,” …  Revelation 17:1

 

So here we can see that this ‘great harlot’ is one who sits on many waters.  ‘Many waters’ referring here to multitudes of people and nations (Psalms 29:3; Numbers 24:7; Jeremiah 51:13).

 

“Then he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.”  Revelation 17:15

 

The first thing we are going to consider about this entity is that it ‘sits’ on many waters.  This entity has control of many different peoples, countries.

 

… “with whom the kings of the earth prostituted themselves, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her sexual perversities.”  Revelation 17:2

 

Now we are going to see the evidence that indeed this entity, the one that is virtually never of a discussion, yet God’s Word is not silent, is ‘in bed’ with the ‘kings of the earth’!  Ah…how interesting!  Let’s not ignore this tidbit of this verse here and instead expound on it, for there is a wealth of knowledge hidden therein.

 

For as we will see, this entity would kill every single inhabitant of the earth, all approximately 8,000,000,000 people!  This is who you are dealing with.  Consider the following verse:

 

“And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be kept safe alive; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”  Matthew 24:22

 

Is this their attempt spoken about in the Bible???

 

“Terror and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.  And it shall be that he who flees from the sound of terror shall fall into the pit. And he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth quake.  The earth has been badly broken! The earth is split open and cracked through! The earth has shaken greatly and is tottering!  Like a drunkard the earth is staggering back and forth! And it sways to and fro like a hut! Its transgressions have been heavy upon it; and it shall fall and not rise again.  And it shall come to pass in that day that Jehovah will punish the host of the haughty ones on high; and on earth, the kings of the earth.  And they shall be gathered, as prisoners are gathered in a dungeon. And they shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days they shall be visited.”  Isaiah 24:17-22

 

So these ‘kings of the earth’ are going to be the leaders of many different nations, who rule over ‘the inhabitants of the earth’ over ‘many waters’.  What we have here is an entity, an organization, that enticed the kings of the earth through whichever means, of which will be discussed according to the additional information that the Bible provides a bit later.  However, what we can now confidently assert here is that our leaders around the world are involved with this entity, they are in conjunction with this entity, this entity that is due God’s just wrath, that will be measured out causing total destruction.  This verse, verse 2 of Revelation chapter 17, doesn’t just mention the ‘kings of the earth’, but also mentions ‘the inhabitants of the earth’, of which case that is our fellow citizens in our respective countries that this entity controls as well.

 

… “the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her sexual perversities.”  Revelation 17:2b

 

The Bible is quite clear regarding the perverse nature of speech that is associated with getting drunk.

 

“Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?  Those who linger long at the wine, those who go in search of mixed wine.  Do not look upon the wine when it is red, when it gives off bubbles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly.  In the end it bites like a serpent and stings like a viper.  Your eyes will see strange things and your heart will speak perversities.  Yes, you shall be as one who lies down in the middle of the sea, or as one who lies upon the top of a mast, saying: They struck me, but I was not hurt; they beat me, but I did not feel it. When I awake, I will ask for more; to do it again.”  Proverbs 23:30-35

 

We could also consider Noah (Genesis 9:20-27) and Lot (Genesis 19:30-38) as well.

 

We have the peoples of the nations, your neighbors, your fellow-citizens, those whom we pass by on a daily basis, perhaps likely yourself, if you have not repented towards God and by faith believed into Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (Acts 20:21), therefore being in the same condemnation, also due God’s just Judgment, for your name would then not be written in God’s Book of Life.

 

“And the devil, who led them astray, was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.  And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heavens fled away. And there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God. And books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, out of the things which were written in the books.  And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one, according to their works.  And Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.  And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.”  Revelation 20:10-15

 

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, without sin, unto salvation.”  Hebrews 9:27-28

 

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has established a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has appointed. He has given assurance of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”  Acts 17:30-31

 

This entity is somehow providing an enticing ‘wine’ that the world is indulging in.  This indulgence is causing ‘the inhabitants of the earth’ to be drunk or rather overcome by these sexual perversities!  This is serious stuff!

 

One would want to have NOTHING at all to do with this entity’s ‘wine’, an individual should want to steer clear of this trapping.  Just who is the leader of this entity?

 

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads the whole world astray; he was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”  Revelation 12:9

 

Continuing on, let us look at the actual name that the Bible tells us of this entity.

 

“And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”  Revelation 17:5

 

The ‘all-caps’ are not mine, they are actually included in the Bible, a very rare ordeal.  Consider that God chose to have His servant write this through the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21) in all caps, that is significant.

 

The Babylon we know us from our history books is found in modern Iraq, then you have this MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH, of which by all means (Revelation 17:3-4; 6-14) is connected to the revived Roman Empire, also mentioned as the ‘daughter of Babylon’ or ‘daughter of Chaldeans’(Isaiah 47:1 & 5).

 

“And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron. Inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters all things, and like iron that crushes all these, it will break in pieces and crush.  And whereas you saw the feet and the toes, partly of potters’ clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided. But there shall be in it the strength of iron, just as you saw the iron mixed with miry clay.  And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken.  And as you saw the iron mixed with the miry clay, they shall become mixed with the seed of men. But they shall not cleave to one another, even as iron does not fellowship with clay.  And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people. It shall break in pieces and bring all these kingdoms to an end, and it shall stand forever.”  Daniel 2:40-44

 

Once again, you can look at the above referenced books for more information about ‘who’ this very well might be from research done by Brandon for those books, but the purpose of this article is simply to point out the seriousness of this mysterious entity that envelops the earth, controls the kings and seduces the inhabitants.  I assure you, this BABYLON THE GREAT is certainly a mystery (Romans 16:25…some things are mysteries in the Holy Scriptures until God reveals them…such as the Church age was a mystery in the Old Testament until Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven (Acts 1:9)), an entity that is alive and well and functioning throughout the earth now.

 

In order to glean some more information regarding BABYLON THE GREAT we are going to take a look at Revelation chapter 18, where we see the destruction of Babylon.  These details provide more insight into this entity.

 

“After these things I saw another angel coming down from Heaven, having great power, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.  And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every unclean spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!  For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her sexual perversities, the kings of the earth have prostituted themselves with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her luxury.  And I heard another voice from Heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, so that you not share in her sins, and so that you not receive of her plagues.  For her sins have reached to Heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.  Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her.  By however much she has glorified herself and lived luxuriously, by the same amount give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.  Therefore her plagues will come in one day; death and mourning and famine. And she will be consumed with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.  The kings of the earth who prostituted themselves and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance because of the terror of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.   And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of thyine wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, ointment and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, beasts and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.  And the fruit that your soul lusted for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.  The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance because of the terror of her torment, weeping and wailing, and saying, Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!  For in one hour such great riches is come to nothing. Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What is like this great city?  And they threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.  Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!  Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall by no means be found anymore.  The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall by no means be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall ever be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall by no means be heard in you anymore.  And the light of a lamp shall not ever shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not ever be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were led astray.  And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”  Revelation 18

 

Let’s begin with the first couple of verses of chapter 18:

 

“After these things I saw another angel coming down from Heaven, having great power, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.  And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every unclean spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!”  Revelation 18:1-2

 

What can be gleaned from this?  First we have an angel coming down from Heaven and crying ‘mightily’ with a loud voice announcing the destruction of Babylon, this is serious, for in very few instances throughout the Bible do angels announce things (Luke 2:8-15, etc.), one example of which would be fitting to place at this point in the article now:

 

“And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth; to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people; saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; also, do homage to Him who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and springs of water.  And another angel followed, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual perversion.  And a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If anyone does homage to the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His anger. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who do homage to the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.  Here is the perseverance of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.  And I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me, Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”  Revelation 14:6-13

 

Going back to these first couple of verses of chapter 18 we see the following: “and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every unclean spirit”.  This Babylon is full of demons and interesting use of words, ‘a prison for every unclean spirit’.  The prison portion is interesting and while I do not pretend to have full understanding of that statement, one thought that comes to mind is pondering about this ‘wine’ that we will be looking at again and then thinking of this verse:

 

“While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.”  2nd Peter 2:19

 

Could it be that those ‘drunk’ from Babylon are imprisoned by Satan??? Big question here… Well Jesus Christ is the answer to set individuals free.

 

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you continue to abide in My Word, you are truly My disciples.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.  They answered Him, We are Abraham’s seed, and have been in slavery to no one at any time. How can You say, You will be made free?  Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Everyone practicing sin is a slave of sin.  And a slave does not remain in the house forever, but the son remains forever.  Therefore if the Son sets you free, you shall truly be free.”  John 8:31-36

 

This study is not going to answer all of the questions regarding this entity, for they can not be answered.  We can certainly glean certain things, but by and large this mystery will not be unraveled until during the ‘time of Jacob’s trouble’ (Jeremiah 30:7), better known as the Tribulation, of which case all who were truly Saved prior to that point in history (Revelation 4:1) will have been Raptured (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 5:9, 2 Timothy 4:1).  A lot of these things were already looked at in those referenced books.

 

What the purpose of this article is, is simply to allow the reader to understand the dark days in which we live in (2 Timothy 3:1) and understand the dangers around themselves and avoid them (Matthew 10:16), using the Bible as their guide (Psalms 119:105), through Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (Hebrews 13:20-21).

 

Let’s glean a bit more:

 

“For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her sexual perversities, the kings of the earth have prostituted themselves with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her luxury.”  Revelation 18:3

 

So here we have ‘all the nations’ mentioned, as well as ‘the kings of the earth’.  Well, there is certainly one thing that connects the world and that is the corrupt monetary system, of which is controlled by the Federal Reserve, of which is neither federal, nor a reserve.  Not a topic for this article, but Eustace Mullins book The Secrets of the Federal Reserve, if found, or The Creature from Jekyll Island by Griffin, can certainly provide such details about this monetary system that is quickly and seemingly morphing into potentially a one world currency, SDR unit, which has also been further spoken about in those once again referenced books.

 

Irregardless, this is interesting because you have these ‘nations’ these ‘kings’ who have ‘drunk of the wine’ and ‘prostituted themselves with her’, which means that this entity goes over the top of sovereign nations.  This Babylon is essentially a world government system that controls independent nation states!

 

Now we get even more interesting, speaking of the ‘merchants of the earth’.  Who are these merchants and why are they involved with this entity?  The answer is right there: ‘have become rich through the power of her luxury’.  This ‘power’ involves not only controlling world leaders, the people around the world, but now as the Bible states, also the ‘merchants of the earth’.

 

Are you aware of the power of what I have coined ‘corporate Babylon’ for years now?  While a book could be written showing the connection of all of these companies and ‘who owns what’ and probably should, basically in a nutshell the following facts are quite interesting.

 

Many companies own many other companies and they are interwoven where a board member of one will be connected to another (theyrule.net will show you this).  For the purpose of this article, most all media in the United States (in fact I recently learned that these same corporate entities also control most of the European news outlets as well) is controlled by a small handful of companies (See: The New Media Monopoly by Bagdikian).

 

What this means, is almost all of the television, radio, mainstream online, newspaper and magazine news is controlled by literally a small handful of corporations.  Well the same could be said about the food system.

 

We can all walk into a grocery store and see all of the ‘choices’ that we are given.  However, what might very well surprise many people, something that I learned of when I was in college, is that approximately 90% of any packaged food (as well as a high percentage of meat products) is owned by literally a handful of companies, despite their multitude of brand names!  This is actually downright terrifying the control of which corporate Babylon has over our economy.

 

This goes into textiles, plastic products, vehicles, you name it, this is not just food and news, but rather all around us.  Take a look at the Fortune 500 companies if you want some names, for these companies are almost always not privately held, but publicly traded on the stock markets.

 

I’ve spent some time researching this, wondering ‘who’ my neighbor is (James 2:8), for supporting my neighbor is a priority when the means are provided and the opportunity prevails.  One brief example: buying cheese from a local South Dakotan company verses the corporate brands at the grocery store.  My ‘neighbor’ is that company (even though they live on the other side of the state), but my neighbor is not the ‘merchants of the earth’ that are getting rich from the ‘power’ of the ‘luxury’ of BABYLON THE GREAT.

 

For there is also the retail side of multinational corporations, for corporate America has retail outlets for food, goods, clothing, food (restaurants, drive thrus), coffee, you name it (even gyms, cleaning companies…etc.).  For if God commands His people to ‘come out of her’ (Revelation 18:4) and ‘her sins have reached to Heaven’ then certainly I believe that a Saved individual that is striving to be pleasing to God, through Jesus Christ, will find God on their side regarding these choices and ordeals, after all the Judgment of God against Babylon is just and inevitably coming, she will be rendered ‘double’ (Revelation 18:6).  (By the way, with the exception of store brands or generic, the local South Dakota cheese, at least one brand, is usually cheaper than name brands, unless those happen to be on sale.)  One thing that is interesting about this ‘entity’ that connects with the ‘merchants of the earth’ is this ‘power of her luxury’.

 

These global brands have power, for these merchants do get rich selling goods and the demand provides unlimited riches to those who sell these wares.  It has been said that ‘money is power’ well take and place any corporate competition next to a mom and pop business and the power of that branding is impressive, few will survive.

 

While I could certainly continue on, let’s move on from here, continuing to look at more of Revelation chapter 18, gleaning what we can.

 

“By however much she has glorified herself and lived luxuriously, by the same amount give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.”  Revelation 18:7

 

Now this is quite interesting for those who have ‘ears to hear’ (Mark 4:23).  This entity has stated in her heart ‘I sit as queen’ and ‘am no widow’ plus ‘will not see sorrow’.  Now we are going to take a look at another passage of the Holy Scriptures, giving us further insight from the Bible into this BABYLON THE GREAT.

 

For this prideful entity knows that no one sees her, she knows that she is hidden and indeed partially hidden in plain site.  There is probably not an outsider, perhaps not even an insider (aside from possibly the Antichrist (Daniel 8:23. 7:8)) who fully understands this compartmentalized corrupt system.  Let me briefly explain how this can be and allow the reader a chance to get a book to see how confusing and corrupt, as an example, a government can be, using mechanisms such as this, knowing that this entity, BABYLON THE GREAT, that the Bible speaks about has both the ‘kings of the earth’ and the ‘inhabitants of the earth’ under her control, irregardless of sovereign nation states, cultures, ethnicities, you name it, quite interesting indeed.

 

Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime was a well oiled machine for several years that brought the world untold evils.  Millions and millions of innocent people, mostly Jews, would be massacred for ideologies that unfortunately still exist in the world today.  In order to pull off such a great evil, without a wrench being tossed in by someone in control, thereby slowing down the process or either stopping it, a system of what I will term ‘cross-control’ was put in place, where not enough power was in the hands of most, but this department ran that, than another ran this, etc., where there wasn’t enough power in one such thing, but as a whole it was, at the time, an unstoppable machine with many different parts working as one towards an evil goal.

 

The United States plays the same game and after the events of 9/11, the Department of Homeland Security was put into power, overseeing numerous other already in existence federal agencies, thereby ‘legalizing’ the ‘search’ of American citizens, as well as compiling lists, dossiers on millions upon millions of Americans whom the government deemed dangerous, due to sometimes simply the books that they chose to read, like this book… The Order of Death’s Head by Heinz that shows how the Nazi regime was able to do the evil that they did.  If one were to read that book and consider our system, well it is a very scary parallel comparison indeed!

 

Yet this mysterious entity, BABYLON THE GREAT, when considering with the prophesied revived Roman Empire (which you are living in now, whether or not you see it), even if it is not yet complete, appears to be like this compartmentalized order of the Nazi regime, as well as similar ones that are publicly known and promoted by our media, when they speak of Chinese and Russian oppression against their citizenry, yet nothing of the SAME SYSTEM of repression that is found here in the United States of America as well (trust me, I know first hand).

 

Well, somehow this entity is controlling world leaders, the people of the world and all of the global merchants are also in bed with her, all of these either getting rich (Revelation 18:3, 9) or either simply ‘drunk’ from the ‘wine’ of her sexual perversities.  (Wouldn’t take much of the imagination if one simply compared the Word of God to the ideas of this world, as well as the entertainment found via the air waves, internet, television, etc..)

 

Here is another description of this entity from the Old Testament of the Bible:

 

“Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground. There is no throne for you, O daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no more be called tender and delicate.  Take the millstones and grind meal. Uncover your veil, strip off the skirt, bare the thigh, pass through the rivers.  Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, your shame shall be seen; I will take vengeance and I will not meet you as a man.  Our Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel.  Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called the Queen of Kingdoms.  I was angry with My people, I have polluted My inheritance, and given them into your hand. You have shown them no mercy; upon the aged you have laid your yoke very heavily.  And you said, I shall be a queen forever; so you did not lay these things to heart, nor remember the latter end of it.  Now therefore hear this, O voluptuous one, who lives securely; who says in her heart, I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, nor shall I know the loss of children.  But these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day: The loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come upon you in their fullness for the multitude of your sorceries, and for the great power of your enchantments.  For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, No one sees me. Your wisdom and your knowledge have perverted you; and you have said in your heart, I am, and there is no one else besides me.  Therefore evil shall come upon you, and you shall not know its origin. And disaster shall fall upon you, and you shall not be able to cover it over. And desolation shall come upon you suddenly, which you shall not be informed of.  Stand now with your charms, and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored since your youth. Perhaps you will be able to profit; perhaps you may prevail.  You are wearied by your many counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers and the fortunetellers step forth and save you from what shall come upon you.  Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them. They shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; it shall not be a coal to be warmed with; nor a fire in front of which to sit.  Thus shall they be to you with whom you have labored, your merchants from your youth. They shall wander, each one, to his own region; no one shall save you.”  Isaiah 47

 

Take and compare that passage to Revelation 18 and you will see that both speak of the same entity and the amount of information that can be gleaned about this mystery is great, but we are going to focus on one tidbit found therein.

 

“For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, No one sees me. Your wisdom and your knowledge have perverted you; and you have said in your heart, I am, and there is no one else besides me.”  Isaiah 47:10

 

This entity says ‘No one sees me’ and that is important to understand.  For what we are dealing with is something that the leaders of our respective nations around the world are involved in, something that has taken hold and is overcoming our fellow citizens, something that is connected to the very places and goods that we spend our money on, including restaurants, retail stores, name brand merchandise, etc., and yet this entity knows that she is hidden, yet she is controlling our world through out leaders, the goods and services sold by our merchants, as well as making our fellow citizens enemies of God by them partaking of her ‘wine’!!!  UNDERSTAND how serious this is!

 

“There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.”  Proverbs 14:12

 

“And at that time, Michael shall stand up, the great ruler who stands for the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as has not been since there was a nation until that time. And at that time, your people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the Book.   And many of those sleeping in the earth’s dust shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting abhorrence.  And the prudent shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness, as the stars forever and ever.  But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, to the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”  Daniel 12:1-4

 

Now we are going to turn out attention back to God’s just Judgment against “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH”.

 

“The kings of the earth who prostituted themselves and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance because of the terror of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.”  Revelation 18:9-10

 

Let’s start off with the ‘kings of the earth’ our world leaders of our respective countries that we live in.  As we can see that they ‘lived luxuriously with her’, inotherwords, they had their delicacies, their riches, they had the ‘good’ life.

 

“Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your calamities that are coming upon you.”  James 5:1

 

Ahh…the fulfillment of that which is found in James chapter 5:1-6.  Now they are going to ‘weep and lament’ for her.  Take note, they stand ‘at a distance’ because of the terror of her torment.  Consider also ‘in one hour your judgment has come’.  This is a –quick- judgment against BABYLON THE GREAT.  A nuclear missile going off???  Perhaps?

 

Continuing, let’s look at the response of the ‘merchants of the earth’ from the destruction of this entity.

 

“And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of thyine wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, ointment and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, beasts and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.  And the fruit that your soul lusted for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.   The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance because of the terror of her torment, weeping and wailing,  and saying, Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!  For in one hour such great riches is come to nothing. Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What is like this great city?  And they threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.”  Revelation 18:11-19

 

Now we have the ‘merchants of the earth’ following in the footsteps of the ‘kings of the earth’ and weeping and mourning over her.  They also stand at a distance ‘because of the terror of her torment’ ‘weeping and wailing’ noting that ‘in one hour she is made desolate’.  This is a very sudden and complete destruction, there seems to be no hope whatsoever, but the realization of both kings (world leaders) and the merchants of the earth (corporate Babylon) are at an utter end.

 

If you were to read through the items listed that are sold and think of them in modern day terms, you can see it covers just about everything, including all of our commodities.  You can also see the term ‘bodies and souls of men’ as also having been sold, which shows the true brutal nature of some of this system used by BABYLON THE GREAT to enrich the ‘merchants of the earth’.  Without a full understanding and getting into the details of the things that I have heard and garnered over the years, consider that God’s Word can always be counted on and is Truth.  With that in mind, understand that this ‘souls of men’ may very well be more real that you might think.  For it is said and the evidence is out there to suggest that every individual born is made into a ‘corporation’ and then sold via the stock market under an insurance policy that is taken out off of that corporate created entity.  Don’t laugh, we don’t have a full understanding of these things and there are those who, whether correct or not, purport that these things occur under schemes that are not easily unrecognizable.

 

“Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!”  Revelation 18:20

 

So here we can clearly see a time of gladness for those whom are loved by God and love God.  For the Believer, for the servants of Jesus Christ, this is a time of rejoicing.  Why?

 

“And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”  Revelation 18:24

 

Well…she, this entity, whom God destroys, was a murderer, the one who would kill all of us on this planet, the one who devoured the saints (Catholic inquisition).  Understand that yes the Catholic church certainly has something to do with this (once again, explained more in the referenced books), but that is the ‘religious’ portion of this entity, there is also the financial portion (economic), as well as political portion.

 

“And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the anger of His wrath.”  Revelation 16:19

 

Finally let’s close out this study with this:

 

“And the light of a lamp shall not ever shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not ever be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were led astray.”  Revelation 18:23

 

We spoke about the ‘merchants of the earth’ but now we can glean another tidbit of information here.  These ‘merchants’ were ‘the great men of the earth’.  Hmm…now we should be able to get a list of suspects here, quite easily.  Perhaps people we should consider to no longer willingly enrich???  But there is a final segment about this entity that we can glean.

 

For this entity is charged with this: ‘by your sorcery all the nations were led astray’.  So this entity caused deception to the ‘inhabitants of the earth’, ‘all the nations’ and they were ‘led astray’.  Consider Isaiah 47 listed above in full in regards to this passage, as well as reconsider Revelation 12:9 taking a look at the following as well:

 

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on all the armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies.”  Ephesians 6:10-12

 

So who is this entity?  Where does she reside?  What merchants are controlled by her?  Understand what we gleaned, she (this entity) controls the ‘inhabitants of the earth’ with her ‘wine’ and ‘sorcery’.

 

Consider the wicked times in which we live (Genesis 6:5; 12-13;Matthew 24:37; Genesis 18:20-21; Luke 17:28), the filth that comes across our phones, computers and television knows no end of the evil that enters into the minds and households of the ‘inhabitants of the earth’ seducing them with the ‘wine’ of the sexual perversities that permeate our societies around the world.

 

These ‘merchants’ are the ones with most of the business, their retail stores (online and brick and mortar), as well as drive-thrus, sit down restaurants and otherwise way of selling things contribute to the overall vast majority of retail spending in many countries, all of which is traded on the public stock markets across the globe.

 

Nonetheless, you dear Christian, understand the times in which we live and keep focused on Christ, doing His good will and we shall be kept safe (Mark 13:13; Matthew 10:22), irregardless of how much or little understand (and I dare say that none of us have ‘much’ understanding, regarding this system that we live in, for it is still a mystery), knowing that this world is passing away (1 John 2:17) anyway and our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20).

 

“However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature; but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, having been hidden, which God appointed before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it dawned upon the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.  But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.  For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.  These things we also speak, not in words which human wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  But he who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is discerned by no one.  For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”  1st Corinthians 2:6-16
