Proud

“The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.”  Proverbs 8:13   There is a non stop evil spreading around the world.  What once was called evil is now being called good.  Those who speak against such things are declared by them that such speech is hate speech.  Yet I am firmly founded on what the Bible teaches.    “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”  Isaiah 5:20   Such topics, discussing the LGBTQ movements around the world, really shouldn’t even take place.  Such discussions around a dinner table or amongst others, shouldn’t even be had.  Yet the militance of the opposition, I speak of those who oppose God, is getting regulations and legislation passed in their favor.  They will not stop there, for what is next on their agendas, from the fringes of society, is so horrible, that I will not even discuss it at all.  That is unless this movement starts also passing regulations and legislation in their favor.   “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.  For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.  But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.”  Ephesians 5:11-13   Clearly homosexuality, cross dressing and sexual perversion are forbidden by God, His Word clearly states so:   “You shall not lie with...

“That Just Doesn’t Happen”

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with giddiness, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come upon you unexpectedly.  For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.”  Luke 21:34-35   When the Mendocino Complex fire was fully raging, a deputy chief with the California Department of Forestry and Fire commented, “Look how fast this Mendocino Complex went up in ranking. That doesn’t happen. That just doesn’t happen.”  Around the same time a Colorado thunderstorm unleashed ‘never before seen’ softball sized hail that caused a lot of damage.  While we know that no man knows the day, nor the hour, when the Rapture (Rev. 3:10) will happen and the Tribulation will start, we can clearly see the condition of mankind at this very moment.   “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only.”  Matthew 24:36   Despite the fact that bad things do happen, we do certainly have a lot of bad things happening all over the world.  Nothing compared to what will come:   “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”  Luke 21:25-26   We’ve discussed such things in detail in recent prior articles.  The purpose of this article is...

Marching Against God

“Proclaim this among the nations: Consecrate a war; wake up the mighty men; let all the men of war draw near; let them come up.  Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, I am strong.  Assemble yourselves and come, all you nations; and gather yourselves together all around. O Jehovah, bring down Your mighty ones.  Let the nations be awakened and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. For there I will sit to judge all the nations all around.  Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down, for the press is full, the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Jehovah is near in the valley of decision.”  Joel 3:9-14   The march against our Creator is on.  Considering what God has told us through the Holy Scriptures, we know the future.  Yet here we are in 2018, the attitudes of many is in defiance to God, they have begun marching against God.   We live in a world where there certainly seems to be a sector of society that is determined to walk contrary to our Creator.  These are our neighbors, our leaders in our communities, our leaders in our societies, our education systems, our media, our acquaintances, our entertainment industry and yes even our so-called churches.  They twist the truth into a lie and cause destruction in their wake.    “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because...

Cakewalk

“For then there will be great affliction, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be kept safe alive; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”  Matthew 24:21-22   The other evening in Kalispell, Montana, my family and I were taking a walk near our neighborhood at dusk.  Glancing towards the Continental Divide we saw the blood moon in its fullness, looking much larger than normal.    I had seen the articles on the internet numerous times prior to this lunar event, but had forgotten that on Friday night it was viewable.  With clear skies, the sight was something out of the ordinary, though I was reminded of the ‘red moon’ that we have seen after dark numerous times.  These types of red moons are due to the amount of smoke in the air from the wildfires that in years prior have been ravishing our forests in the mountainous western part of Montana.    The next day, while reading news, there were articles questioning why so many people thought that the blood moon was a sign of the end of the world.  I remember when the United States shot some missiles into Syria, not too long ago, that there were people who had live feeds up on YouTube, with numerous viewers, who were adamant that World War 3 had just begun.  Here we are several months later.   A lot of people associate lunar and solar events with the end of the world.  In the guises...

Take a Seat, Brother

“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”  Matthew 7:12   My family and I enjoy watching a show entitled Backroads Montana, from time to time.  While some of the stories are less desirable than others, nonetheless, it gives a good perspective on life throughout the great state of Montana.  The other day we happened upon an episode which had a woman who was recounting her story of running the local Senior Center and relaying the foundation for a friendship that she has with one of the women who frequents the Senior Center.    That friendship was based on the fact that amongst disputes and apparent rivalry, she was at the funeral of her husband.  She entered the church, not knowing where to sit and here this woman simply told her to take a seat next to her.  A complete stranger with a random act of kindness, which affected this director of the Senior Center so much that, though seemingly a small gesture, caused her to have a great deal of respect and love towards this woman who made a seat available.   This article is written for true Christians, those who have truly repented and by faith believed into the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.  Make no mistake, it is not a secret in this world that there is a lot of wrongdoing and infighting, even amongst those who are relatives.  Many families have what would be consider a large amount of dysfunctionality, in regards to their behavior.    Considering the broader perspective, just...
