Psalms Walk-Thru #006

“I love You, O Jehovah, my strength.”  Psalms 18:1   Truly who can make such a statement, who can declare such a thing?  Is this not the will of the Lord?   “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”  John 14:5    After all, “And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart, with all your soul, exceedingly in every way.”  Deuteronomy 6:5   “Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  Matthew 22:37-40   David also declared in Psalms:   “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.”  Psalms 51:17   How can those who truly know the Lord have such a heart?  For knowing that the Lord takes care of those who are His (1 Pet. 5:7) and seeing the riches He provides for His own  are without fathom (Eph. 3:8).  For after all, He paid the penalty on the Cross for our sins (Rom. 4:25), for all who are willing to repent (Acts 17:30-31) and in faith believe (John 3:16) into Him as their Lord and Savior.   “Jehovah is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my Mighty God, my rock wall, in whom I will trust; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  I will call upon...

“The fool has said in his heart, There is no God! They are corrupt; they have done abominable works, there is no one who does good.”  Psalms 14:1   How much of the world would prefer to say there is no God?  Truly as the time until the end continues, more and more join the ranks of not only being corrupt, but also making such a foolish statement.    “Professing to be wise, they become foolish, and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”  Romans 1:22-23   Just on the surface, as a Christian, I could only imagine life without Christ, without the joy of the Lord, what a hopeless state!  To me, to consider that there are those who go throughout life denying their Creator is but unimaginable in my life.  Even though I was Saved at the relatively young age of 9, I still believed in God beforehand.  Yet many of us who are Christians are mocked for such faith and considered foolish for believing such ‘old fashioned myths’.    Truly that puts the foolishness of their heart into prospective.  To be able to look around and clearly see the evidence that God has provided simply in the mirror, while denying God, is not only astonishing, it is a sad condition of the heart.  As Believers we know that we can fully trust the Lord, we understand that He watches out for those who are His and we know that whatever happens to us, happens according to His will.   “Watch over...

Lights Out?

“Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”  Isaiah 55:6-7   In Montana, Kalispell is one of the big cities, but in the scope of the nation, it is but a small quiet town.  Having lived in Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago and even a bit of time in Toledo, there is no comparison.  Driving the other night between two small Montana towns, the realization of the scope of potential trouble on the horizon, thinking of how America is so backslidden before God, my spirit was deeply troubled.   Imagine for a moment, if you will, your respective city.  Whether it be a small town on the plains of America, a big hustling urban center of a major city, a medium sized city or even the rural countryside, miles away from the nearest gas station, if the lights went out.  As we were driving between the small city of Kalispell to the very small town of Bigfork, the glistening lights of rural houses and the glimmering of communities approaching against the black night sky was a reminder that we were surrounded by people, who were getting ready for bed in the late evening. What if as we were driving suddenly and without warning all of the lights went out?    What if the dark black sky of night soon became even darker and our headlights on our car became more powerful...

Unfortunate Ones

“If one of your brethren becomes poor, and his hand has become shaky, then you shall support him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.”  Leviticus 25:35   Many of the younger generation in America support being global citizens.  Some of their beliefs include food, shelter, education and basic medical needs for all people, with little or no regard to borders or their own countries.  While the idea, often mixed with flavors of both socialism and communism, might seem noble to some on the surface, undoubtedly they are being prepped for the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation.   Through the federal government strong arming against state sovereignty regarding controlling the content of our respective education systems in this country, they have over a generation of those who through moral relativism, humanistic and propaganda, as well as just plain old ignorance, prepared to accept the coming Antichrist.  Let me place a note here that the Rapture will happen before this time period begins, despite what the naysayers proclaim.   A moral society could never go down this road.  What we have is a society that is custom designed by those who knowingly have engineered the entire ordeal, one of which is full of wickedness, selfishness and evil.  To put this into scope we must first consider where America really stands amidst our current party attitude, then we must consider also the evil that we as a society have allowed to happen worldwide.  How can a society that overwhelmingly rejects God’s Word and rejects Jesus Christ as their Savior assume...

Psalms Walk-Thru #004

“In Jehovah I put my trust; how can you say to my soul, Flee like a bird to the mountains?  For lo, the wicked bend their bow; they make ready their arrow on the string, so that they may secretly shoot at the upright in heart.  If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”  Psalms 11:1-3   Truly a Christian, one who has repented and believed the Gospel, one who by faith has believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, knows or should know that God Almighty is trustworthy.    There are many sorts of trials and persecutions that Believers go through.  For some it may be as simple as a neighbor who is generally unfriendly, for others they lean on their Maker, knowing that He will keep them safe under His wings (Ps. 91:4).  Depending on where one lives, the conditions of government repression, the religious institutions or religion of the respective country, there are varying degrees of troubles that can come upon a Christian.   Jesus said, “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you.  If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.  Remember the Word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My Word, they will keep yours also.  But all these things they will do to you on account of My name,...
