The Deception is Great!

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads the whole world astray; he was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”  Revelation 12:9   The deceptions in the world are great, the trappings are many and if one considers, all around there are roadblocks put in place by the world that help ensure that it is lead astray.  Satan has been deceiving mankind since Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit.  That act right there caused all to be born into sin and all to have a need of a Savior to rescue them.   “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”….  Romans 3:23   “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.”  Psalms 51:5   “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.  For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.  And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.  Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to every person, because everyone sinned.”  Romans 5:8-12   We live in a time where things seem to...

What’s Next?

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  But he who endures to the end shall be kept safe.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.”  Matthew 24:12-14   An act of extraordinary evil happened in Nice, France.  Numerous deaths occurred as a man driving a truck purposely drove through crowds of people during the Bastille Day celebration in France.  As I saw the news while at work, I was dismayed and saddened that things of such nature continue to plaque the world.  Then another attack on police in Baton Rogue, though I am not convinced that there is sufficient evidence to prove that this was indeed a purposely planned ambush.  As a Christian I understand that not only will things get worse, but eventually the reality of the world will become so desperate that what happened in Nice will be relatively minor in comparison.    “Woe to those who desire the day of Jehovah! Of what good is this to you? The day of Jehovah is darkness, and not light.  It is as if a man fled before a lion, and a bear met him. Or he goes into the house and leans his hand against the wall, and a snake bites him.  Is not the day of Jehovah darkness, and not light; even very dark, and not any brightness in it?”  Amos 5:18-20   As we get into this article, let it be known that no man knows the day or the hour.  The Lord Jesus Christ has made that quite clear!  I am...

They Forgot About God

“I will praise You, O Jehovah, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.  I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.  When my enemies have turned back, they shall fall and perish at Your presence.  For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.  You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked, You have blotted out their name forever and ever.  The desolations of the enemy have come to an end forever, and You have destroyed the cities; the remembrance of them has perished with them.  But Jehovah shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for justice.  And He shall judge the world in righteousness; He shall execute judgment to the people with equity.  Jehovah also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of distress.  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.  Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwells in Zion; declare His deeds among the nations.  When He investigates bloodshed, He forgets not the cry of the lowly.  Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; look upon my affliction from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death, so that I may declare all Your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation.  The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made; their own foot is caught in the net...

Nasty or Nice?

There are news article circulating the internet from a research study done by the University of Exeter (British) that mankind’s behavior might be genetically programmed to make one individual nice and another nasty.    From a news article, “Genes are to be blamed if a person good or bad and not the surrounding. To understand the concept of genetic polymorphism, researchers has produced a an innovative model of social evolution and concluded that some people are genetically programmed to help other, while the other aspect also tends to the same concept.”   One of the definitions of nasty is defiled, another good word that could be chosen would be corrupt.  For years psychobabble has declared many sinful lives as having a cause or origin outside of the control of the individual with the ‘diagnosis’.  Now mankind is looking to take that one step further and not only deny their Creator, but through ‘science’ declare that sin might not be the individual’s fault, but rather their genetic makeup.  Are the Holy Scriptures silent on this?   “My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.”  Psalms 139:15   “And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”  Genesis 2:7   God is the one who created mankind, not some nonsense evolutionary process. Man continually searches to find proof that there is no God, now furthering that, trying to excuse sin.  There is a problem with that, all will stand...

Lone Wolves?

“Then they will deliver you up to affliction and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.”  Matthew 24:19   True Christians have always been the focus of derision throughout the ages, certainly it is nothing new.  In America there has always been tolerance and aside from some name calling, usually there is no true violence against Believers.  This of course is not the case in other countries, such as Iran, Syria, India, China or historically in place like Russia.  The Roman Catholic church persecuted and killed millions of Believers throughout the middle ages, even into the 1800’s.    “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.  But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.”  Matthew 10:16-17   The government has coined the term ‘lone wolves’, but in reality those who truly know Christ are His sheep.  As our society continues to become more and more degraded, the threat from the actual wolves out there increases.  What is a Believer to do?   “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”  1st Corinthians 15:58   Persecution comes with our Citizenship (Philippians 3:20).  While we might live in a region of the world where the persecution is light, nonetheless, if we lived in a region where the persecution is severe, including the threat of being killed, we must remember the words that Jesus...

#PrayForThem?

“Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry nor prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you.”  Jeremiah 7:16   Another tragedy hits America and this time a mass shooting.  The media is dubbing it the biggest terror attack since 9/11 in America, others talk about it being the biggest mass shooting in the United States history and of course Obama is adding the term hate crime to the ordeal.  To further complicate things, the man responsible for the murder of 50+ people, plus the further injuring of 50+ people claimed ties to ISIS before he was killed by the police.    Panic ensued at the nightclub where the shooting took place and everyone was screaming and crying as a hostage situation unfolded and the shooter was taking life after life.  A terrible situation that will undoubtedly cause much more ‘debate’ about gun control and push for more liberties to be taken away from Americans.  To top it off there are (as of this writing) also reports of a man with a cache of guns and weapons who police stopped.  He was apparently on his way to a LBGTQ (lesbian, bi-sexual, gay, transgender, queer) ‘parade’ in Los Angeles, with intent to do harm.   This is being wrote on a Sunday afternoon, just hours after the shooting.  While I am sure other details will emerge, as I read a couple of news articles today about the situation, I noticed a common theme.  The twitter handles were being pushed in the media, #prayForOrlando #prayForPulse.  What is Pulse?   Pulse is...
