The End is Near

“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ Jesus.”  Colossians 1:28   “And I will bring distress upon men, and they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against Jehovah. And their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh like dung.”  Zephaniah 1:17   What happened to those who used to hold up signs in our big cities declaring that ‘the end is near’?  Movies on occasion used to add such things, often a ridicule to those who would be presumed to be mentally unstable.  Yet has not the Word of God proclaimed that the end will eventually come?   “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. ”  Matthew 24:14   Well there are two ‘ends’ to be precise.  There is the Rapture, which is the end of the Church age and then there is the end, which is the end of the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation.  Even then we could argue the Millennial reign, etc., but our job as Believers is the warn people to repent and believe the Gospel.    …”testifying both to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Acts 20:21   “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has established a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by...

A Day’s Wages

“And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come and see. So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”  Revelation 6:5-6   “And when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.”  Matthew 20:2   There are many places in the world where men will work for daily food and the most basic housing.  Oftentimes there simply is not enough money to provide adequate nutrition, education, clothing and suitable housing.  Yet in many countries the opposite is true.    While there are many who complain about the unfairness of the world economic system, in many countries adequate food can be obtained, as well as a better quality of the necessities that each individual desires.  Then there are countries like the United States, large portions of Europe, portions of Asia, Australia and Canada where food only becomes a lack of choice, due to finances, not a lack of availability.    As an American, understanding the system well, the focus will be with the United States in mind regarding this prophecy that will be fulfilled during the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), which will begin after the Rapture (1 Thes. 4:16-17).    Reflecting about the global pandemic, as well as now a rumor...

Setup

“They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.”  Psalms 82:5   I spend quite a bit of time behind the wheel.  The other day I tuned into the local Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) radio station.  In no way is All Will Stand endorsing the SDA.   This particular day was apparently the last day of a thirteen day series about prophetic end times and as they were in the book of Daniel, in particular talking about Daniel chapter 9, I was quite interested in whether or not they had a biblical take on it.   “Seventy weeks are decreed regarding your people, and regarding your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Holy of Holies.  Know, therefore, and understand that from the going forth of the word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of distress.  And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming ruler shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with a flood, and desolations are determined, and there shall be war until the end.  And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he...

Saving Lives

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?  Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”  Mark 8:36-37   In the year 2020, a monumental amount of changes are happening consistently around the world, in order to save lives.  Now I could get into the arguments on both sides, both pro and against the measures being taken, however, the point of the matter is that whether or not you agree or disagree with what is happening around the world, it is happening.   The argument, if you will, is to bend the curve, saving lives.    I could not help but wonder the other day about the amount of effort pastors around the country have put into preaching the Gospel.    “But what does it say? The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the Word of Faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame.  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich toward all who call upon Him.  For everyone, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  How then shall they call on Him into whom they do not believe? And how...

His Glorious Appearing

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live with sound mind, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify a people for His own possession, zealous unto good works.”  Titus 2:11-14   There has been much debate regarding the Rapture, which could be better termed His Glorious Appearing.  There are even many pastors who sit on the fence, not knowing whether or not His Glorious Appearing is pre-tribulation or post-tribulation.  Yet the Bible is quite clear and common sense should prevail that the Rapture will happen prior to the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation.   The purpose in this chapter is not to just provide the evidence of the pre-trib Rapture being a sound doctrine, but also to provide needed information for those souls who will read such things, after having been Left Behind.  For those whom God allows to be deluded by the Strong Delusion, what can be done?  There opportunity for Salvation is prior to the Rapture and if they are those whom God is allowing to believe the lie (2 Thes. 2:11), after the Rapture, then their fate is sealed (Rev. 20:15).   Consider the following verses:   “And none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.”  Daniel 12:10b   “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, Father,...

A Grand Delusion?

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He is now restraining, until it is raised from out of the midst.  And then the lawless one will be unveiled, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”  2nd Thessalonians 2:7-12   There is much writing that has been done over the years regarding the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), known better by many as the Tribulation or the Great Tribulation.  In fact the Bible talks about this being a time of great affliction.   “For then there will be great affliction, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”  Matthew 24:21   “And I said to him, Sir, you know. So he said to me, These are the ones coming out of great affliction, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”  Revelation 7:14   “And at that time, Michael shall stand up, the great ruler who stands for the sons of your people. And there shall be a...
