Take a Seat, Brother

“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”  Matthew 7:12   My family and I enjoy watching a show entitled Backroads Montana, from time to time.  While some of the stories are less desirable than others, nonetheless, it gives a good perspective on life throughout the great state of Montana.  The other day we happened upon an episode which had a woman who was recounting her story of running the local Senior Center and relaying the foundation for a friendship that she has with one of the women who frequents the Senior Center.    That friendship was based on the fact that amongst disputes and apparent rivalry, she was at the funeral of her husband.  She entered the church, not knowing where to sit and here this woman simply told her to take a seat next to her.  A complete stranger with a random act of kindness, which affected this director of the Senior Center so much that, though seemingly a small gesture, caused her to have a great deal of respect and love towards this woman who made a seat available.   This article is written for true Christians, those who have truly repented and by faith believed into the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.  Make no mistake, it is not a secret in this world that there is a lot of wrongdoing and infighting, even amongst those who are relatives.  Many families have what would be consider a large amount of dysfunctionality, in regards to their behavior.    Considering the broader perspective, just...

Save Our Planet

“For then there will be great affliction, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be kept safe alive; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”  Matthew 24:21-22   “And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men came to be on the earth.  And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the anger of His wrath.  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.  And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. And men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because the plague is exceedingly great.”  Revelation 16:18-21   Recently my family and I took a road trip to Calgary, Canada.  The trip was brief, only one night, but quite productive.  From the Flathead Valley in Montana, we traveled about five and a half hours north to Calgary, finding accommodations.  There we managed to squeeze in a hefty tour of downtown Calgary, a trip up the Calgary Tower, as well as a trip to the zoo.   Heading north into Canada from the Eureka, Montana border crossing, we noted a much different type of environmental conscience of Canada, verses Montana.   By no means would I consider myself to be...

Do Not Resurrect

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in Heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”  1st Peter 1:3-5   Not too long ago there was a story of a man who was taken to the emergency room, unconscious.  On his chest there was a tattoo that said ‘Do Not Resurrect’.  The emergency room doctors were at lose with what to do.  They quickly talked to the hospital’s attorneys and decided that they would respect the patients wishes.  Here they had figured out what was wrong with the man, he was savable, they could bring back his normal life, but laws on the books allow for such decisions to be made by individuals.   Afterwards, the emergency room doctors found out that official paperwork had been filed with the state, indeed the man did not want to be resurrected, should he ever be found in that state.  This article is not going to focus much on the debate as to where one draws the line in regards to seeking life saving medical attention.  Indeed it is God who has given each of our lives and Created our soul, let each individual be assured in his own mind about such things.  Rather we must look at the consequences of not resurrecting the Truth of God’s...

Anything But Jesus

“And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the flying creatures of the heavens, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”  Genesis 1:28   “So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.”  Genesis 9:1   “And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all day long.  And Jehovah regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.  And Jehovah said, I will obliterate man whom I have created from off the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and flying creatures of the heavens, for I regret having made them.”  Genesis 6:5-7   “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”  Luke 17:26-27   Living in Montana certainly has its advantages.  The other day my family went to visit Glacier National Park.  The Going to the Sun road has only been opened for a week, but with a recent rainy day the opportunity seemed perfect to go.  We had to deal with the light rain, but had the advantage of not having to deal...

Repentance – Gone Missing

“Jesus said, I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”  Luke 13:3   “And He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins be preached in His name to all nations, beginning out of Jerusalem.”  Luke 24:46-47   There are churches all over from coast to coast of this country.  Numerous different denominations, tons of different viewpoints on the Bible, where does one turn?  What can be a test to see if these churches are biblical and truly have a Pastor who is Saved and called by God to preach?    Doctrine is important, very important.  There are numerous errors found throughout nearly every church across the United States, some more obvious than others.  Some churches have some doctrines correct, others have other ones correct.  While I am not speculating that anyone would find an absolutely perfect church, the harsh reality is that a church where a biblical Salvation message is not preached, could simply not make sense regarding of how they are following Christ and adhering to doctrine.   The Bible is quite clear on doctrine and also provides some warnings to Believers regarding to check into what they hear, as well at times to go elsewhere, should you find yourself in the midst of wolves, or as often happens, a church changes slowly, becoming apostate (Rev. 18:4).   “Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”  1st Timothy 4:13   “Take heed to yourself...

Dead Men’s Secrets

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, without sin, unto salvation.”  Hebrews 9:27-28   “This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event to all. Yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.”  Ecclesiastes 9:3   There are a ton of different theories out there regarding where one goes after they die, what happens to someone when they join the ranks of the dead.  In nearly every city of any size in the United States, there are so-called churches who have set out their doctrine to what they believe in.  The Christian Scientist believe that they will be reincarnated.   Years ago I used to have a good friend who was a Christian Scientist.  We would go back and forth, while biking the streets and countryside of Petoskey, Michigan, debating on some of his viewpoints.  He stuck with the fact that he believed when he died he would be reincarnated and when he finally lived a good life then he would go to Heaven.  Years later this buddy would attend Bible studies at our home, as the focus would be on what the Bible actually taught, not some man’s theory.  Afterwards he eventually left the Christian Science church and started attending a church that according to...

A Society of Special Needs

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unyielding, slanderers, without self-control, savage, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away.”  2nd Timothy 3:1-5   “And even as they do not like to have God in their full true knowledge, God gives them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with every unrighteousness, sexual perversion, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, depravity; whisperers, defamers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do them, but also approve of those who practice them.”  Romans 1:28-32   The other day I was at a local grocery store picking up a couple of items.  This grocery store is interesting, though not a small one, certainly seems to attract a crowd of people who are blatant about who they are.  The store is busy, the lines are full and as I am waiting in line I have a couple of minutes to simply observe.    For a long time I have been trying to put my finger on exactly what seems to be wrong with a certain segment of society.  Sure you have the...

Cold Love

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”  Matthew 24:12   Take a good look around the world nowadays.  Certainly things have been getting worse and worse, likely to accelerate as time goes on.  There are still a lot of ‘good’ people out there, people who care, people who help others, people who think of their neighbors and community, even people who will still help out strangers.  Our societies of the world have certainly fallen and in previous times of history things have actually been much worse in certain regions.   What we do see here, happening all over the world, is also an escalation of lawlessness, also known as iniquity or sin.  The Bible clearly states the connection between iniquity and cold love.  I wonder how much of this is related to ‘without natural affection’?   “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is clearly recognized by them, for God has revealed it to them.  For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they know God, they do not glorify Him as God, nor are thankful, but become vain in their reasonings, and their stupid hearts are darkened.  Professing to be wise, they become foolish, and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds...

Sunglasses On

“Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has been released from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but in the will of God.  For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in licentiousness, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.  In this regard, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same overflow of dissipation, blaspheming.  They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”  1st Peter 1:1-5   All over the world people have their sunglasses on in regards to the Truth.  They are blinded to the reality that is all around them.  They can not see because they refuse to see.   They are willingly ignorant to the world around them, to God’s Truth.    “And the disciples came and said to Him, Why do You speak to them in parables?  He answered and said to them, Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given.  For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.  Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do...

Awaiting Judgment

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, without sin, unto salvation.”  Hebrews 9:27-28   As people lives their life accordingly, they do as they want, they live as they want, they are whether knowingly or unknowingly awaiting judgment.  Many times a person throughout their life will consider the possibility that they will stand before God, for all will stand before God (Rev. 20:12).    However, for numerous people, the problem is the same.  They hear God’s Truth, they hear portions of the Gospel, they hear a pastor preach or read something and they ponder.  They ponder whether or not there are truth to these things, they ponder whether or not they are on their way to Hell and if what they hear is true.    Some people on the other hand simply believe, and from time to time they plan on doing these things, they plan on repenting and by faith believing into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  What they don’t realize is that they are awaiting judgment.   Right now every man, woman and child are awaiting judgment.  They are condemned, there is no hope for them, without Christ.  Should they be absent from the body, they will not be home with the Lord (2nd Corinthians 5:8).  Right now all men everywhere, who have not repented and believed the Gospel, through only Jesus Christ one can be Saved, are awaiting judgment.   “Therefore remember...

Dead Wrong!

“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices divination, or conjuring, or fortunetelling, or sorcery, or one who charms magic spells, or a medium, or a wizard, or one who calls up the dead.  For all who do these things are an abomination unto Jehovah, and because of these abominations Jehovah your God is dispossessing them before you.”  Deuteronomy 18:10-12   Apparently we have fallen so far in apostasy that what should be clear lines regarding God’s Truth and the things of Satan, have been so blurred that there is now so-called ‘christian’ psychics.  The first I heard about such a thing was in our local newspaper in Kalispell, Montana.   I had seen the advertisements, the large signs pop up locally for a couple of buildings where psychic readings are being given out.  Now in our society, such things are not a surprise, but when I saw a local write-up in the newspaper, I was shocked to hear that such things are considered to be Christian by some.   The psychic, while holding what appears to be Tarot cards, claims that the gift that she has is from God.  She proclaims to hold to Christianity, praying for every meal, and makes known that she does not believe she can abuse the gift that she claims God has given her, or else He will take it away.  This abuse seems to be related to self gain, rather than so-called helping others.   “You believe that God is One. You do well. Even the demons...

Dear Loved One,

“The righteous perishes, and no one lays it to heart, and merciful men are taken away; no one considers that the righteous is taken away from the face of evil.  He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.”  Isaiah 57:1-2   This has to be one of the hardest letters to pen, but my conviction as a Christian, as a follow of Christ, one who has repented and by faith believed into Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I must do so.    I know you don’t want to hear it, I know you don’t want to have anything to do with Jesus, while you might acknowledge God, you only would be willing to acknowledge that He exists, but unwilling to actually yield to Him.  You just don’t want to have to change, you don’t want to repent, you want to live your way.  The problem with that is you were Created, you can’t live your way.   Does man allow his pets to do as they want or do they not train them to use litter boxes, etc.?  Do people allow their children to run their households or do they set rules for them to follow?  Do managers allow the employees to do as they wish, work as they want and create their own rules, or do they enforce rules, set schedules and assign workloads?  So how then is it we as humanity can live as we want and not follow God’s guidebook, the Bible, and not repent and believe the Gospel, that we might be saved?  ...

Know No Evil

“Love is longsuffering and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast itself, is not puffed up; does not behave indecently, does not seek its own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.”  1st Corinthians 13:4-8a   The other day a group of us listened to a guest sermon of a pastor who has a Church in Australia.  The speaker of the sermon went over several items dealing with apostasy in the churches, as well as the pagan origins of the Roman Catholic Church.  As I sat there and listened, suddenly what had been on my mind to write about, this article, became firmly founded.  Though this speaker would be ridiculed or shown the exit door in most any church in America, he was spot on, in fact he could have gone further.   If one thinks about it, and we are going to address those who call themselves Christians, to know no evil is a far cry from the direction that the apostate churches currently have headed.  Let’s set the foundation for this topic, let this argument sink down into your soul and understand just how far away from righteousness that those who call themselves Christians really are.   “For no one is able to lay any other foundation than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  1st Corinthians 3:11   So we will start off with the firm foundation, which is Jesus Christ.  In Him we are Saved, through...

Fearmongers

“Enter into the rock and hide in the dust from the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of His majesty.  The lofty eyes of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down; but Jehovah, He alone, shall be exalted in that day.”  Isaiah 2:10-11   So with much due expectation a Syrian missile strike by the United States, France and the UK ensued.  The internet immediately blew up with tons of people going live on their YouTube channels and other media outlets.  The warnings were largely the same from both the small and big alternative media, World War 3 had broken out.    In hindsight, Russia did not and has not responded militarily.  While their S-200 units, ran by Russian trained Syrian solders managed to shoot down a reported 71 of approximately 105 incoming missiles, militarily there was no exchange of fire between the United States and Russia.  While I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility of such type of events leading into a hot war with Russia at some point in the future, the opinion on that night was that war had begun.   It’s been stated before and should be restated again, eventually these people who call out everything are going to be right on some things.  The problem is that they have usually been wrong on nearly everything.  While we could definitely dig deeper into the whole Syria ordeal, the proxy war for control between the US and Russia, we won’t.  The point here is that the fearmongers are always ready to call every potential disastrous situation as having went from a...

Controversy With The Nations

“A roaring noise shall come to the ends of the earth; for Jehovah has a controversy with the nations; He will enter into judgment with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword, says Jehovah.  Thus says Jehovah of Hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be roused up from the recesses of the earth.  And in that day the slain of Jehovah shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be mourned, nor gathered, nor buried. They shall be as dung on the ground.”  Jeremiah 25:31-33   Who knows where our world will have gone with actions that are going on in the Middle East, as well as our relations with Russia.  By time this article is finished and the accompanying radio show is done, so much can change.  Could we see the beginning of World War 3?  Perhaps no action will have been taken in Syria, against the Russian holdings.  One thing we do no for sure is that truth has been out the window for a long time now.  The only thing the world has to hold onto as Truth is God’s Word to humanity, the Bible.  Even then one must take extreme caution to have a good copy, for the English speaking people, that would safely be the King James Version.    Recently it seems politics have been on the forefront of the discussion from All Will Stand.  Yet, looking at them from a biblical perspective.  What the future holds is not...
