Psalms Walk-Thru Final

“Although you say you do not see Him, yet the case is before Him, and you must wait for Him.”  Job 35:14   We have spent some time going over the book of Psalms.  As mentioned before, a lot of people look at Psalms as the book of faith.  Yet Psalms is much more, it is about having a contrite and perfect heart before our Creator.   Psalms declares the wondrous works of God, tells us much about who He is!  Psalms provides history, Psalms provides examples and presents the truth about trusting in God.  Psalms is much more than just faith.   “As for the Mighty God, His way is perfect; the Word of Jehovah is tested; He is a shield to all those who trust in Him.  For who is God besides Jehovah? Or, who is a Rock except our God?”  Psalms 18:30-31   “The heavens declare the glory of the Mighty God; and the firmament proclaims His handiwork.”  Psalms 19:1   “Jehovah is my strength and my shield; my heart has trusted in Him, and I have been helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.”  Psalms 28:7   “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in Jehovah.  His heart is secure; he will not be afraid, though he sees his adversary.”  Psalms 112:7-8   As has been mentioned before and will be mentioned again, one final time, we must trust and obey.  Furthermore, in order to have all of the promises that God gives to those who have repented and by faith believed...

Sell Your Possessions

“And behold, one came and said to Him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?  So He said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.  He said to Him, Which? Jesus said, You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,  Honor your father and your mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  The young man said to Him, All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?  Jesus said to him, If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had many possessions.”  Matthew 19:16-22   What can we say that we have done for Christ?   What have we given up for the sake of whom who died on the Cross for our sins, who rose again from the dead, who sits at the right hand of God, the Son of God, Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our Salvation?   “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so persistently harasses us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of...

Psalms Walk-Thru #014

“Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”  Psalms 27:1   Think about this verse for a moment and the truths that are contained therein.  What a marvelous statement about a true Christian’s relationship with their Creator, through Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Such a relationship is only for those who have repented and by faith believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, having had their name written in the Book of Life (Rev. 20:11-15).    There have been many missionaries throughout the years who have understood these words.  They have traversed jungles to bring the Gospel to those in the ends of the earth.  They have been in foreign lands, where they are not welcomed.  They have prevailed, because Jehovah was their strength, because they trusted in their Creator and feared not man.   “And do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who has power to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.”  Matthew 10:28   Understand, those who trust in the Lord, those who are true Christians, these words ring very true.    “When the wicked, my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this I have confidence.”  Psalms 27:2-3   Of what importance is it, irregardless of what appears to be the odds against one who...

Don’t Wait

“He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”  Revelation 22:11   The recent false missile alert in Hawaii certainly delivered fear to those who are living there.  All over and for good reason, people were panicking, crying, screaming, trying to figure out what to do.  After all what can one do?   From what I have heard, the traffic in Honolulu is terrible.  Imagine being stuck in traffic, getting an alert that there is an incoming ballistic missile and there is no where to go.  You are literally at ground zero, stuck.  Fortunately I haven’t heard any reports of injuries or deaths regarding this false alert.  From my understanding there were some who were driving very erratically, trying to get home to there loved ones, disregarding all traffic laws.   There is also a video of a family lowering their children in the sewer drain, as a place for them to go.  Truly that is an interesting take on a bomb shelter, one that would make one ponder if it would actually be effective or not.  There is also a popular video out there showing university students running to take cover.  Of course there are numerous more videos of people’s last words, even one man who just continued to play golf.   However, one reaction, one article truly got my attention.  A woman in the midst of the chaos prayed to God and asked for forgiveness of her sins, as well...

Garbage Heap

“And I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.  Who is the wise man who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of Jehovah has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish and burn up like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?  And Jehovah says, Because they have forsaken My Law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, and have not walked in it, but they have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart, and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them.”  Jeremiah 9:11-14   “Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house like the high places of the forest.”  Micah 3:12   Recently my family had watched part of a documentary showing where much of the ‘recycled’ plastic from the United States (as well as much of the world) goes.  To our horror we watched as a Chinese family worked one of the thousands of recycling ‘factories’ in a town that specializes in receiving barges of plastic junk.  Their children, including infants, grow up in horrible conditions, living amongst a stinking heap of filthy, partially sorted plastic trash.  Then the news hit here in Kalispell, Montana about our plastic.   Apparently our plastic recycling also goes to China.  China has had enough and will no longer accept the plastic of the world, due to the contamination it is causing on their...

Psalms Walk-Thru #013

“How long will You forget me, O Jehovah? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?  How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my inner being daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?  Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God; enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, and those who oppress me rejoice when I am shaken.”  Psalms 13:1-4   Sometimes a Believer, a true Christian who has repented and believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, might call out to God.  The hope might be for an immediate response, it might be that whatever it is that the Believer is calling out to God for, might be resolved, according to His will.  There are times that a Christian is waiting on the Lord, but are pressed regarding there seemingly being no answer regarding the supplication made to Him who Created them.   Certainly such things happen.  Who can tell God when the right time to respond is?  Who can contend with Him?  Who else can a Believer go to?  No one.    “Truly I know it is so; but how can a man be just before the Mighty God?  If one wished to contend with Him, he could not answer Him one time out of a thousand.  He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and been at peace?  He removes the mountains, and they do not know when He overturns them in His anger;  He...

To the Oppressed of the World

“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise, says Jehovah; I will set him in the safety for which he pants.”  Psalms 12:5   All over the world there are those who are oppressed.  How often does man’s system of oppression, through various means, affect a large amount of people through greed and a desire of control?  How often are people struggling throughout their entire lives, just trying to make a life for themselves and their family?    While those who reside in the United States have such plights, those numbers are nothing in comparison with those throughout the world, those who are the oppressed of the world.  Literally what was God’s original intention has become rotten through the consequences of sin entering the world.  The curse has made things to where they are today.   Let’s just be frank about the state of our societies of the world.  Quite often the focus has recently been on the ridiculous amount of increase in bubbles, as well as debt throughout the world.  The focus is often on those who are in the midst of this system, putting their treasures of the world (Matthew 6:19-21), before seeking God Almighty, their Creator, of whom they will give an account to (1st Peter 4:5).  Yet there is a world, one of which I have seen with my own eyes, that is outside of the scope of those same people who literally live for the moment and blow with every wind of doctrine that comes their way or joining in movements or trendy events as they...

Psalms Walk-Thru #012

“Unto You, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.”  Psalms 25:1   In who else does the Believer put their trust into?  Who else do we lift up our souls up to?  There is none, but God Almighty!   “I am Jehovah, and there is none other, no God besides Me”…  Isaiah 45:5a   “O my God, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.  Yea, let none who wait upon You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.”  Psalms 25:2-3   The missionaries who braved the harsh jungles of Africa and still brave such conditions, those whom God has called to preach the Gospel to those in the ends of the earth, who do they put their trust into?  The preachers who hold underground churches in repressive regimes throughout all of the world, in whom do they put their trust?  The Christians in those same countries who spread the Gospel to those who are willing to hear, who become Saved in the midst of oppression from their family and peers, in whom do they put their trust into?  Those who knock on doors, spreading the Gospel in the harshest neighborhoods in the United States, to whom do they put their trust into?  Certainly God, for their is no other.    For if God has called them, if they are truly Saved, if they have repented and believed the Gospel, if by faith they have believed into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, then what fear do they have in doing what the Lord...

Slaves to Sin

“Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Everyone practicing sin is a slave of sin.”  John 8:34   The other day I stopped into a local restaurant to pick up some food.  Around me were the emotionless faces of those also waiting, as well as the staff of the restaurant who had some heavy rock music blaring in the background.  Business as usual as people were picking up their food, with blank stares.  Looking around, knowing that most of the world’s population are unsaved, the shackles of sin were apparent to those around me.  I was standing amongst slaves, slaves to sin.   Was there anything remarkable about these customers and employees?  Was there anything that made them worse than any other sinner, who is lost without Christ as their Savior?  No, but at that moment as I was in there picking up dinner, the realization that there are so many lost, so many people who are slaves to sin, who desperately need Jesus as their Savior, hit my soul hard.   Having worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I can attest that much of the people whom I have worked with over the years have serious consequences from the sin that is in their lives.  Yet, all mankind, irregardless of how many consequences they face from sin in their current states, have the most serious consequence awaiting them, should they not repent and by faith believe into Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.    Perhaps you are one of those who are reading this.  Maybe you realize that you have so many issues,...

Psalms Walk-Thru #011

“The earth is Jehovah’s, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who dwell in it.  For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the rivers.”  Psalms 24:1-2   The very foundation of knowledge in our societies of the world should be that we were Created.  If man believed God, if they believed His Word and understood that indeed God created the heavens and the earth, then logically one would proceed to the Bible to find out what God has proclaimed to us.    “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  Genesis 1:1   “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is clearly recognized by them, for God has revealed it to them.  For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,  because, although they know God, they do not glorify Him as God, nor are thankful, but become vain in their reasonings, and their stupid hearts are darkened.  Professing to be wise, they become foolish, and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.  Therefore God also gives them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who change the truth of God into the lie, and fear and serve...

Endtimes Deception?

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.”  Matthew 24:14     Eventually this verse will be fulfilled, but when such a fulfillment happens, how many of those who were Left Behind will have been killed by various means throughout the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7).      Please note: Very important that those of us who truly know the Lord, those of us who have repented and believed in the Gospel, believed into Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior are not appointed to wrath, therefore we will not be left behind on the earth when such scenarios unfold.     “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we watch or sleep, we should live together with Him.  Therefore encourage each other and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”  1st Thessalonians 5:9-11     The question that I ponder with the recent news events regarding other ongoing ordeals, is why now is information being released regarding UFO’s?  Why now, why the timing?      Throughout history there have always been accounts of such things, even in ancient art.  However, as a Christian, I know that these things are demonic in nature, and as such, a potential end-times deception scenario.  Instead of people believing what God’s Word says about Creation, many would rather believe in beings from another planet, rather than seeing it as a demonic deception.      While...

Pounding the Pulpit

“If you refrain from delivering those being led away to death, those about to die; if you say, Behold, we did not know it; does not He who ponders the heart consider it? And the Keeper of your soul, does He not know it? And shall He not repay to a man according to his deeds?”  Proverbs 24:11-12   Here we are in the end of 2017, a year that in my opinion that seemed to go by quite quickly.  Yet, as the remainder of the year plays out and the next year begins, I realize just how horrible of times we really live in, as a nation, as a world.  Why?    “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.”  Jeremiah 8:20   We live in a time where bible prophecy has clearly been fulfilled.  What else has to be fulfilled before Christ appears to take Home His bride, prior to the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7)…nothing.  That’s right, nothing.  Nothing else has to happen on the prophetic timeline.    We live in a time where people, so-called evangelical christians, often from fully apostate churches are pleased to see Jerusalem recognized as the capital of Israel.  While I am also happy that finally someone did what should have always been done, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital, the very thought that people are pushing so hard for Israel and peace, without realizing that the fulfillment of that very peace deal might as well be the beginning of the Tribulation.    While it is certainly possible that a peace treaty could be signed that...

Psalms Walk-Thru #010

“Jehovah is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”  Psalms 23:1   Indeed!  Can those of us who truly know the Lord understand the treasures that are contained herein?     …“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”  Psalms 119:105b   “I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in everything I am taught both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to lack.”  Philippians 4:12   “He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me to waters of rest.”  Psalms 23:2   “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:6   “He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness because of His great name.”  Psalms 23:3   Just how many times do we get discouraged about one thing or another, but God restores our soul.  While we often say and will continue to say, trust and obey, let’s not forget the words of that good song.   ‘For the favor He shows, and the joy He bestows Are for them who will trust and obey’   “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”  Psalms 23:4   Silly thought, perhaps, but I certainly have come to understand these words, they are quite personal for our family, yet I have often thought what it would be like if God called me to preach in a heavily crime ridden neighborhood.  Walking...

The Broad Path

“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.  Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many entering in through it.  Because narrow is the gate and distressing is the way which leads unto life, and there are few who find it.”  Matthew 7:12-14   Everywhere people set goals for themselves.  Many of those goals are focused on finances.  There are goals to pay for college, goals to own transportation, goals to buy a house, goals to save for retirement.  Lives are planned based upon certain interpretations of how to achieve these goals.  Yet for many a goal of becoming rich is upon their hearts.   All around this nation financial bubbles are exploding in growth.  The amount of student loan debt acquired by those who are studying for a career to obtain such goals has hit a record amount.  Auto loans have exploded reaching, new highs in indebtedness of our American society.  Home buying in many places has created bubbles of unsustainable pricing and debt that is piling up in a manner that is neither sustainable or realistic.  The stock market is increasing often by three digit figures per day, far surpassing common sense and then there is Bitcoin.   Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are exploding in value as hand joins to hand across this once great nation, with those who are investing hoping for a landslide of profits to materialize in front of them.  The false security in these bubbles...

Psalms Walk-Thru #009

“My Mighty God, My Mighty God, why have You forsaken Me, and are far from My deliverance, and from the words of My groaning?  O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the nighttime, and am not silent.  But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.  Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them.  They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed.  But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.  All who see Me mock Me; they shoot out the lip; they shake the head, saying,  He trusted on Jehovah; let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, since He delights in Him!  For You are He who took Me out of the womb, causing Me to trust while on My mother’s breasts.  I was cast upon You from the womb; You are My Mighty God from My mother’s belly.  Be not far from Me, for trouble is near; for there is no one to help.  Many bulls have encircled Me; strong bulls of Bashan have surrounded Me.  They have gaped at Me with their mouths, like a tearing and roaring lion.  I am poured out like water, and all My bones are separated; My heart is like wax, it has melted within Me.  My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; and You have brought Me into the dust of death.  For dogs have surrounded Me; the congregation of the wicked have enclosed...
