“Do I delight with pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord Jehovah, and not that he should turn back from his ways and live?” Ezekiel 18:23 “Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall live life because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.” Ezekiel 3:21 A harsh title to start off an article with, but perhaps it could be something like #CastIntoLakeOfFire or #NotFoundWrittenInBookOfLife. These would be the harshest words, as each man will stand before their Creator and if their name is not written in the Book of Life, they will be cast into the Lake of Fire and tormented day and night forever and ever. So to those of you who can take a minute, for those of you who are willing to contemplate for a moment, what God’s Word declares about sin and about Salvation, then might as well do that now, before you stand before Him at the Great White Throne Judgment. “And the devil, who led them astray, was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of Jehovah our God.” Psalms 20:7 From time to time and place to place, troubling times appear on the horizon, sometimes those trouble actually surface to real problems. For some it could be war, for others it could be an economic collapse, other times it could simply be a small town that just lost the factory that was the lifeline. When these sorts of things happen, a lot of people relocate, some out of necessity, others forced to do so. For the Believer, one who has truly repented and believed in Jesus Christ as their Savior, we remember God, we know that He cares about us. “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares about you.” 1st Peter 5:6-7 “Save, O Jehovah! Let the King answer us when we call.” Psalms 20:9 We must always remember that as Christians, certainly our lives are in Christ (Col. 3:3) and we have hope in Him (Rom. 15:3). There are no excuses as to why mankind should not understand their sinful condition and believe the Gospel. “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is clearly recognized by them, for God has revealed it to them. For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they know God, they do not glorify Him as God, nor are thankful, but become vain in their reasonings, and their stupid hearts are darkened. Is this not the will of the Lord? “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:5 After all, “And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart, with all your soul, exceedingly in every way.” Deuteronomy 6:5 “Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 David also declared in Psalms: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” Psalms 51:17 How can those who truly know the Lord have such a heart? They are corrupt; they have done abominable works, there is no one who does good.” Psalms 14:1 How much of the world would prefer to say there is no God? Truly as the time until the end continues, more and more join the ranks of not only being corrupt, but also making such a foolish statement. “Professing to be wise, they become foolish, and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:22-23 Just on the surface, as a Christian, I could only imagine life without Christ, without the joy of the Lord, what a hopeless state! To me, to consider that there are those who go throughout life denying their Creator is but unimaginable in my life. Even though I was Saved at the relatively young age of 9, I still believed in God beforehand. Having lived in Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago and even a bit of time in Toledo, there is no comparison. Driving the other night between two small Montana towns, the realization of the scope of potential trouble on the horizon, thinking of how America is so backslidden before God, my spirit was deeply troubled. Imagine for a moment, if you will, your respective city. Whether it be a small town on the plains of America, a big hustling urban center of a major city, a medium sized city or even the rural countryside, miles away from the nearest gas station, if the lights went out. “If one of your brethren becomes poor, and his hand has become shaky, then you shall support him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.” Leviticus 25:35 Many of the younger generation in America support being global citizens. Some of their beliefs include food, shelter, education and basic medical needs for all people, with little or no regard to borders or their own countries. While the idea, often mixed with flavors of both socialism and communism, might seem noble to some on the surface, undoubtedly they are being prepped for the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7), better known as the Tribulation. Through the federal government strong arming against state sovereignty regarding controlling the content of our respective education systems in this country, they have over a generation of those who through moral relativism, humanistic and propaganda, as well as just plain old ignorance, prepared to accept the coming Antichrist. Let me place a note here that the Rapture will happen before this time period begins, despite what the naysayers proclaim. A moral society could never go down this road. Let’s not let the media ‘tell’ us what to think and do, rather each American should turn to the Bible for knowledge of God and His standards. Recently I had an exchange with the person who does the translating work for the Spanish language section of All Will Stand. In that exchange they made mention of “what more can I do”, the same thing is on my heart regarding the work of the Lord. Many Believers around the world have the same feeling that the “time is at hand” (Rev. 22:10) and the world doesn’t have much time left. Truly we can’t know how much time we have left (Matt. 24:36), but we also must not slacken our work that Jesus has called us to do as Christians (Matt. 28:19-20). A radio show regarding this topic will be up online soon, but the issue really is pressing. Just how often do we as “citizens of Heaven” (Phil. 3:20), forget just how important the task is that is presented before us. Not everyone is called to preach, not everyone is called to be a pastor of a church or a Sunday school teacher, etc., but often times just by our communication, we can have an effect on those who are lost and dying. “In this regard, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same overflow of dissipation, blaspheming. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” 1st Peter 4:4-5 We know that the apostasy (2 Tim. 4:3) that we are seeing was foretold prophetically, we see the evil fruits of this terrible thing throughout the world. “Jehovah shall judge the people; judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity within me. O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds. My defense is from God, who saves the upright in heart. God judges the righteous, and the Mighty God is angry with the wicked every day.” Psalms 7:8-11 If only sometimes it was told as it really is, if only the truth about God was boldly proclaimed, without worrying about being looked down upon. Then when those who proclaim things that are not, proclaiming lies against their Creator are corrected in the open, what would those who are within earshot do with such knowledge? Consider our education system. Our children are taught that evolution is responsible for their existence, yet this is not what God’s Word teaches. (Rom. 1) What if there was a revolt against these lies, instead of allowing rebellion against God Almighty? Should those who know otherwise, who know God’s truth in the matter, sit silently? The people of Venezuela have been long suffering under a terrible economic crash that has caused a once great Latin American country to all but fail. Our heart goes out to those who are in Venezuela and our prays are with those who are true Christians, working to spread the Gospel amongst their fellow citizens. Given the circumstances, the Lord laid it upon my heart to seek out those who are truly doing His work and provide economic support during these troubled times in Venezuela.
