Grow in Christ! What is it to be a Christian? What is expected out of the Believer? When someone comes to Jesus, in repentance towards God through the blood of Christ, believing into Him, change happens, Salvation is granted and with that the new Believer is also a new creature. “…testifying both to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 20:21 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2nd Corinthians 5:17 There is a renewing of the mind and with this renewing of the mind a renewing of the direction and purpose of our lives. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 “If then you are raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on the things of the earth; for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” 1st Corinthians 3:1-3 No longer are we to seek our own, but we are to seek His will, we are to follow Jesus, serving the Most High God. “Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24 “For to...

A lot of Montanan’s will tell you that Montana is ‘the last best place.’ This is a very popular slogan. To different people it means different things. Most consider this expression the fact that Montana doesn’t have a major city, is far away from the influence of one, giving residents a bit of peace and quiet. Others look toward the freedoms that are more prevalent than found in nearly every other state of the union. The fact is that both are true. The Big Sky state offers many areas where an individual can find some peace and quiet from the everyday hustle and bustle. However, it also offers liberties and freedoms that are no longer found in the country, aside a bit in the Dakotas, Wyoming and Idaho. All of that is changing. The internet, social media, government agendas and liberalism, from those who move to Montana, are beginning to have an impact. The once strongly Republican state now has a Democratic governor. Local city boards are slowly introducing legislation that would allow a creeping over-controlling government to take over. Most of the time, because it is Montana, these pieces of legislation are simply tabled. The people simply won’t stand for it…yet. Still, slowly the freedoms of this great state are disappearing. Why? America was never a Christian country, but America did follow many principals, morals and teachings of the Holy Scriptures, America at least acknowledged God. Montana, being a bit behind in the times (which is a good thing), kept on with those beliefs for quite some time, as the rest of the country was...

Re: Soul is in the blood, blood operates the brain. Life is in the Blood http://www.a-voice.org/main/voice082.htm Brain and Morality http://www.a-voice.org/portions/02-15-05.htm I’ve heard it my whole life, in fact I’ve dealt with it also. Too many men always use the phrase, “you can look, but you can’t touch.” What harm is there in that, right? Well, when one considers how the blood operates the brain and then how the soul is in the blood, indeed Jesus’s words about lusting after a woman is the same as committing adultery, rings true. Men can’t help it, at least not most men, right? Countless men seem to have this problem, even amongst Believers. What does the Holy Scriptures say about such a notion? “And everyone who competes for the prize controls himself in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we an imperishable.” 1st Corinthians 9:25 The key here is ‘controls himself in all things.’ What does the bible say about people without self control? “For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unyielding, slanderers, without self-control, savage, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away.” 2nd Timothy 3:2-5 This is not to say that a Believer can not commit iniquity in these matters, but it should not be so. “But sexual perversion and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be...

To Be Like Him What is the ultimate goal or rather what should the ultimate goal of Christians around the world be? Shouldn’t our goal be to be like Him, the author and finisher of our faith? “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so persistently harasses us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2nd Corinthians 3:18 “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” 1st John 3:2 “But no, rather, I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the Law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness...

“For yet a little while, and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall be no more.” Psalms 37:10 How much longer will we, who are Believers, have to contend with those who plot to destroy the earth? The ones who subvert everything they can. These men of evil plots purposefully dumb down societies with education, junk food, chemicals in the water, vaccinations, chemtrails, media, television, entertainment and various other means. These same men also promote false doctrines, increase violence in societies, wars and help cause pestilences in various places. Who are these men? These are those who have alligned themselves with satan, they have made a ‘deal’ with him… “Again, the devil takes Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he says to Him, All these things I will give to You if You will fall down and do homage to me.” Matthew 4:8-9 …and are preparing to make war against God. “For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Revelation 16:14 “And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.” Revelation 16:16 These are those who use puppet governments to create bureaucracy to further satan’s realm… ” For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the world’s rulers of the darkness...

The other day I watched some videos on parkour or freerunning. This is a new hit with many younger people, mostly in Europe and Russia but also in the United States. The concept is simple, find the shortest route between two points and take it. If this includes climbing over buildings, jumping from rooftop to rooftop or doing many other such maneuvers, so be it. Some of the videos online show much skill and indeed some of these young people have had gymnastics training. To take matters even further there are also a sect of these youth who will climb radio towers, using no safety equipment, and once at the top they will take and climb over the edge, doing pushups or hanging from the steel frame in a death defying act. When questioned about it most will give an answer that they enjoy the thrill and the rush of doing such things. If one digs a little deeper you will find that there are news articles that some of these participants do not make the jump across the buildings. Others fall to their death, some break their necks or injure themselves very badly. This is the side that you do not typically see when you watch a carefully crafted video showing only the successes of the group in what appears to be movie style moves. People have often done things like this, though this newest trend is much more dangerous than things of the past. There have always been people who have done skydiving, extreme boat racing, mountain climbing, etc. It is not the scope...

Ten Reasons the Holy Scriptures are true. 10.) The Holy Scriptures say so. “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation [origin], for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved [propelled] by the Holy Spirit.” 2Peter 1:20-21 “For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: ‘The LORD said..'” Mark 12:36 “All this,” said David, “the LORD made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.” 1Chronicles 28:19 “The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word was on my tongue.” 2 Samuel 23:2 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…” 2 Timothy 3:16 9.) We are God’s Creation. “Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the flying creatures of the heavens, and over the beasts, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that moves on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:26-27 “For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:14 “The rich and poor have this in common: Jehovah is the maker of them all.” Proverbs 22:2 “Woe to him who strives with the One who formed him, a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say...

Bible Study Days of Noah vs. Today “Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were pleasing; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not continually strive with man, for indeed it is in flesh to sin; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years. There were giants on the earth in those days. And also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them, these were the mighty men from antiquity, men of renown. And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all day long. And Jehovah regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart. And Jehovah said, I will obliterate man whom I have created from off the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and flying creatures of the heavens, for I regret having made them. But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generation. Noah walked with God. And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold it was corrupt;...

Bible Study Proving that hell is a literal place of eternal punishment… This study is going to take a comprehensive look at hell and prove beyond a doubt the following things: That hell is a literal place and those who go there are there for eternity. “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it happened that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, nor can those from there pass to us. Then he said, I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for...

Bible Study Supplement New Year’s Day Historical Study We are going to take a relatively comprehensive look at the origins of New Year’s Day. This historical study will also include some information on New Year’s Eve as these two go hand and hand. We will specifically look at the historical origins of past years and compare those with the current traditions that are now celebrated. For this historical portion of the bible study we will not be using any internet resources. The only resources that will be used are from old books. So let’s begin… January’s “beginning being near the winter solstice, the year is thus made to present a complete series of the seasonal changes and operations, including equally the first movements of spring, and the death of the annual vegetation in the frozen arms of winter. Yet the earliest calendars, as the Jewish, the Egyptian, and Greek, did not place the commencement of the year at this point. It was not done till the formation of the Roman calendar, usually attributed to the second king, Numa Pompilus, whose reign is set down as terminating anno 672 B.C. Numa, it is said, having decreed that the year should commence now, added two new months to the ten into which the year had previously been divided, calling the first Januarius, in honour of Janus, the deity supposed to preside over doors (Lat. Janua, a door), who might very naturally be resumed also to have something to do with the opening of the year.”1 “The ancient Jewish year, which opened with the 25th of March, continued...

Bible Study Supplement St. Patrick’s Day Historical Study This time we are going to investigate the origins of St. Patrick’s Day. During this investigation we will try and discover the origin for the mandate to wear green, the symbolic significance of the leprechaun and clover. For this historical study we are going to reference one old book regarding the historical significance of this that and see if we can get to the bottom of it. Let’s begin… A Historical Peek… St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated in March but where did this holiday (holy day) start. St. Patrick “was born about the year 372, and when only sixteen years of age, was carried off by pirates, who sold him into slavery in Ireland; where his master employed him as a swineherd on the well-known mountain of Sleamish, in the county of Antrim. Here he passed seven years, during which time he acquired a knowledge of the Irish language, and made himself acquainted with the manners, habits, and customs of the people. Escaping from captivity, and, after many adventures, reaching the Continent, he was successively ordained deacon, priest, and bishop; and then once more, with the authority of Pope Celestine, he returned to Ireland to preach the Gospel to its then heathen inhabitants.”1 Here as with all previous historical study supplements we see once again Rome having played a hand in the origin of yet another celebrated American holiday. St. Patrick has many supposed miracles attributed to him that appear to be originated the same as pagan legends. A few of those include, starting a fire using...

Refuting Darwin A Brief Refutation Fossil Record Please note: This study is a brief study that was meant to show true biblical Christians how easy it is to refute evolution, it was not meant to be used as a debate among those of the world who want to argue with God’s truth regarding the matter of His record on His creation. For further study on the matter, I would suggest that the reader get a copy of David Cloud’s book Seeing the Non-Existant, an excellent refutation on man’s ‘wisdom’ and God’s truth. That book can be purchased either in an e-book format or a paper book at the following link: http://www.wayoflife.org/publications/books/seeing_nonexistant.php There are many things that one can refute Darwin on. However this assignment was to refute Darwin on one point, which I will do. Should evolution be true the fossil record would no doubt prove it. Our fossil record which includes many things, such as dinosaurs, fossilized plants and modern day animals show God as the Creator. If evolution were true then we will find fossilized example of animals in the in-between state of their previous state to their new state. For example, scientists say that dinosaurs turned into birds. Do we have a T-Rex with a set of wings on it in the fossil record? No in fact we have a T-Rex and another T-Rex and yet another T-Rex that all show that they were the same animal. This is true with the entire fossil record. While evolutionist point to their few claims of in-between fossils, it must be noted that a...

Bible Study – Historical Study Easter/Palm Sunday/Good Friday This is a particularly important study as we dive into the origins of celebrated holidays, regarding Easter, Palm Sunday and Good Friday. This study will take a comprehensive look at these holidays (holy days) utilizing mostly old books, one new book and two online resources. While all roads seem to lead to Rome regarding the origins of holidays this one is the most important one to understand the origins. While we as Christians remember Resurrection Sunday as the day that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ rose from the dead we must be certain that our practices during this time of the year do not blaspheme the Most High and His Son. So lets begin… Part One Good Friday? We are going to start with Good Friday and some common sense. Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday, three days after His death. So going backwards we would go Saturday, Friday, Thursday. If you went to a job interview on a Monday and they told you to come back in three days, which day would you show up? Thursday of course. So why Good Friday? “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1st Corinthians 15:3-4 “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three...

Bible Study – Additional Side Study Origins of St. Valentine’s Day Let us take a brief look at a holiday (holy day). This time we are going to turn our attention to St. Valentine’s Day. Perhaps others have grown out of this holiday and no longer celebrate. When I was in grade school we used to hand out Valentine’s to several of the opposite sex. There was an exchange of little candy hearts with various sayings and heart shaped boxes of candy. In my youthful ignorance I never once considered the origins of such folly. For me it was just another holiday that I looked forward to. Which girl would give me a Valentine; my mother would get us kids a box of chocolates. However should a Christian celebrate St. Valentine’s Day? Should they allow their children to celebrate it? In this side study we are going to take a look at St. Valentine’s Day from a historical perspective. We are going to use two sources that I obtained several years ago. The first will be from an old book, the second from an online source. Certainly there is much more information available online now than what there were several years ago, but this study is not meant to be in depth, rather just give you a basic overview. Origins of St. Valentine’s Day “Now, there is no custom without a reason. But the reason for this cannot be found in the life of the good saint who is made to indorse the custom with his name. He wrote no love-songs. No one rises up...

Origins of Groundhog Day Bible Study Supplement – US History Study Groundhog day is certainly not a holiday that many celebrate. Yet every year there is an event that takes place in Punxsutawney, PA. This has been going on since 1886. According to groundhog.org, the official website of the event, “if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter weather. If he does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring.” This site admits that the origins of this event are from the Catholic Candlemas. So just what are the origins of Candlemas? This study will take a brief look into the origins of Groundhog Day. A Historical Look “From a very early, indeed unknown date in the Christian history, the 2nd of February has been held as the festival of the Purification of the Virgin, and it is still a holiday of the Church of England.”1 The popular name of Candlemas is derived from the ceremony which the Church of Rome dictates to be observed on this day; namely, a blessing of candles by the clergy…”2 “At Rome, the Pope every year officiates at this festival in the beautiful chapel of the Quirinal. When he has blessed the candles, he distributes them with his own hand amongst those in the church…The cardinals go first; then follow the bishops, canons, priors, abbots, priests, down to the sacristans and meanest officers of the church”3 “It appears that in England, in Catholic times, a meaning was attached to the size of the candles and the manner in which they burned...
